  1. Having been to the Oasis gig in Cardiff on Friday I am having serious 2nd thoughts about going to V this year. Some of the people or so called fans Oasis attract are nothing short of scum. There were fights breaking out every 5-10 minutes and there was just an aggressive atmosphere most of the night.

I am not saying V is all lovey dovey and you do see the odd argument or even a few fists flying but Friday was a joke, fights, arguments, purposely throwing cups of beer and piss over people from as early as 5pm really spoilt the enjoyment of what was supposed to be a great gig and this has got me considering whether V is going to be worth it this year with all these clowns.

One of the main reasons in going to V is the friendly atmosphere and the chilled out vibe you get over the 2 days. I dread to think what the camp sites will be like all weekend with that sort of scum following them.

Anyone go when they were there in the 90s what was the weekend like?

  2. Greyo: Dylan Thomas called Swansea "an ugly, lovely town".

Terry: I'd call it... a Pretty Shitty City.

Greyo: Dylan Thomas didn't do as much f**king cocaine as you, did he?

This glue is for sticking my model aeroplanes together, not sticking up your noses! Buy your own bloody glue!

  3. I am starting to think yes. I got myself a camper van ticket earlier this week for less than face value on ebay, this time last year they were going for well over £200. Either people dont want to use the camper van field this year or the attendance will be much lower this year than in previous years.

Could be line up, credit crunch or the piss poor organisation at last years festival. Whatever the reason there doesnt seem to be such a high demand for tickets this year.

  4. Have you seen the lineup???????

I would say the token pop act that you refer to could be one of Aleasha Dixon, the Saturdays or Taylor Swift. We always get a few at V last year we had the Sugar Babes and Duffy as well as Girls Aloud. It is the variety that makes V for me. I like seeing acts that I wouldn't usually ever go and see. Girls Aloud were good last year and McFly were suprisingly entertaining the year before.

  5. Thanks, yeah thats great i might have to sneak some people in the cupboards when we drive through ! its a bit of a scam really though if the camper can holds 6/7 people you would think they would let u all in i wonder if i buy 2 camper van pitches par one car on the other pitch and all sleep in the camper van? what do you think?
  6. I think the organisers were caught out last year with the severe weather as it was obvious for everyone to see they made no plans to combat the wet and muddy conditions. As mentioned previously the muddy conditions on the Sat night and all day Sunday were really dangerous. God help you if you want to walk from one stage to another it was taking forever. This also has a knock on effect on the toilets as they couldnt be emptied as the trucks cannot get into Weston Park due to the mud.

Also the Monday morning was a complete shambles. I stayed in the Camper van field there were 100s of vehichles getting stuck in the mud yet they only had one tractor to tow them all out, we had to wait over 4 hours to be pulled out of the mud. There was another tractor on hand from a local farm but he was charging £20 a time to pull people out of the mud and you had to chase him around the field to get his help!!

The year before the organisation was excellent, plenty of stewards and the walkways were nowhere near as bad, last year I got the feeling that they just didnt give a shit about those attending as they already had our money.

I will be going to V this year as I think its the best weekend of the year but if the conditions dont improve I will seriously consider not going next year!

  7. Lets be honest they were clueless ths year. On both the Sat and Sunday they were parading the dog outside the enterance near the JJB. All you had to do was walk a few more yards to the other enterance and you were in no problems. I bet they caught loads of people at that enterance NOT.
