I'm a reasonably seasoned Glastonbury goer this year being my 14th in a row and 17th in total. I had 3 really wet ones where wellies were a necessity (waders would have been a better option in 2007) Every year I bring wellies and take them home without putting them on. I am predicting a wettish one this year and am considering my trusty walking boots paired with gaiters. Any thoughts or recommendations on the gaiter front? of just the £14 option from go outdoors?  many thanks

Boots and shorts no gaiters needed, worked for me every time including 2007

Yup that was in Glasto Latino.... there was a Mexican Cinema next door which did great margaritas while showing Mexican political documentaries. It was really atmospheric with flickering wall lights and the like 👌

Yea that's the place, the whole area had a great vibe

  3. Not sure if it qualifies as a micro venue but definitely a small venue, one year I spent an amazing 2 hours at a life drawing class at about 10pm in a tent in the common. As the night went on a DJ played in the corner while naked models posed on a shezlong on a small stage, crazy place with a fantastic welcoming vibe

  4. back in the early days of Shangri-la I stumbled on a room with white walls, and two holes in the walls one was for the DJ booth the outer sold margaritas and it was full with less than 30 people, the music was great and we just got lost in there for hours, when the gang of us finally left one of the guys asked why they had turned the lights on, he was shocked to hear that that wasn't the lights but the sun had come up, one of my favorite Glastonbury memories

So as far as I am aware all Taxi drop offs are Gate a.

But honestly I’ve done worse than Gate A to Big Ground before. It’s gonna be dry so you will be fine.

Try 🙏 not to march it all in one hit. Plan a stop somewhere. Take on some fluids. Give it 10 minutes and go again. You will be fine.

Good luck 👍 (you won’t need it)

this is a good plan, what I've done in the past, was I put most of my gear in the closest lock-up to Gate A then took my tent and bare essentials and then when all was set up went back for the rest of my gear at my leisure

I'm solo on this leg of the trip.

Are the busses back to Bristol  prebookable??

    Thanks for the help.

I'm afraid I can'help you with that one, sorry, I know I looked on the national express site before and I couldn't see a one way option, that could have changed, as far as I can remember there is a ticket office at the festival bus station, others might be able to help with that one.....

You could try posting in the "lift share" form and you might find someone to share a taxi with.....

  8. There is a post today on one of the facebook groups (apparently with Emily's blessing) reporting the Michael has had some health issues over that past few months and they are organizing a "Michael Mob" before the fireworks to sing "there's only one Michael Eves" and send him best wishes

Are you travelling down from Bristol? We're flying into Bristol and heading down via Shepton Mallet which has an Aldi and Tesco. There's a Lidl, Morrisons, Tesco and Waitrose in Wells, about 15 mins West of Shepton Mallet. Issue is, the beer won't be chilled. I've been looking for an Off-License on route that would serve chilled cans

    Beers & Ciders | ALDI

Summer Drinks from Thursday, 18.05. at Lidl UK - www.lidl.co.uk

    Multi-pack Beer | Waitrose & Partners

Cider Cans: Cider: Beer, Wines & Spirits: Morrisons Shop

Beer: Beer, Wines & Spirits: Morrisons Shop

Thanks, I'm driving down from Pembroke so I have some flexibility where to shop, Thanks for the links, I'm not sure I'd bother with getting them chilled they are going to be warm in a tent fro the weekend so I'd go for value rather than chilled, unless you have a handy way of keeping them chilled, but what would a festival be without warm beer lol

    Clouds = rain.

    No f**king clouds

    No f**king rain

    No f**king compromise

Clouds = warmer nights, clear skies leave it very cold at night could cover acts like a blanket and hold in all the nice heat from the blue skies during the day, no rain ever!!!!!
