  1. Normally is a proper cotton one!

Normally I take what I need out in forints. But Guitarbaz on here always gets a better exchange out there so I am taking about £50 worth out and then £ to exchange when there. In my first year I took money out of cash points with debit card for for some reason once it did nt work for a day but then worked following day.

  2. Actually, re-currency, I should have said that you get a much better exchange rate if you take over cash and get it changed at one of the numerous little exchanges in the city. No surprise that our banks rip us off of course...

  3. Yeah it'll be interesting to see how they go down there. I think we might underestimate their popularity over Europe way.

Hopefully tho we'll get a damn sight closer than we did on Saturday!! Amazing gig but I do like to be a bit closer to the action..... :)

  4. depends where you go really but even in the more expensive areas around Oktagon and down Andrassy Utca you won't pay more than you do at home. We found one place last year right next to our apartment where it was about a quid for a litre glass. Always a good start to the day.....

  5. the majority of those with any form of bag or backpack will get searched. sometimes they'll even pat you down if you're not carrying anything at all (i like to travel light).

ffs the beer is so cheap on site why would you bother lugging it all there yourself?

  6. Exactly! ;) We had the 'pleasure' of watching Florence once at a festival a couple of years back because she was on before someone we really wanted to see (though can't remember now who it was...) - yaaaaaaawwwwnnnn! :boredom: I know that that sort of thing is dead trendy at the moment - but we just find it really pretentious!

  7. Just done a quick wiki search, as I'd heard the name but nothing else........ From what I'm reading, I'd say that she sounds like a black haired variant on Florence (and therefore, unfortunately, another candidate for 'sweetheart of European music' :( ) and not what I'd call headline material - more like mid afternoon at Hop Farm or somming :nea: Oh dear, I so hope not!
