  1. Does anyone who's been in the last decade remember seeing the tall fella with the Disney hat on?

It is the Alien from Toy Story. All people shout at him is " The Claw"

Well just to let you all know.

The hats been washed and will return this year. On my head!

Looks like l'll be going alone too. I do know two lads that are going on the wednesday and stopping in blue or maybe white (if they can) They can't save me a space, l have a big tent. (i like to be able to stand in my tent and have space inside, just in case it rains)

Me, l'm hoping to get there on Thursday around lunchtime 12-1pm but being older than them two at 36, l'll be heading to green/brown camp. I like it down that way.... it used to be a lot less crazy at night and can get a good few hours kip. There's still a good atmosphere in the camp and its a lot cleaner too.

I would try and meet up with the two lads at some point but.... Its like looking for a needle in a hay stack. So would probably be on my own for the most of it.

Would love to camp in a group in green/brown camp. I'm a big fella and make friends very easily. Thinking for going fancy dress on one of the days.... Got myself an ogre morphsuit, should be fun.:D

If you're interested in meeting up or whatever. Send me message!

Phil I'm going again. You are welcome to camp with me and my lot. We had a laugh before . pm me if you want to mate .

  5. Hi, You have the timetable for the busses now so your fine. you don't need to buy a bus ticket in advance. you can but its not essential on the day.

I camped on guest site last year, and the tent next to me were press guys. So I presume you will be on the guest campsite. When you get off the shuttle bus, you can see the unit where you'll get your wristband and the camp entrance is next to it. I would say about 100 meters from where the bus drops off. I got a shuttle bus one day last year and it took me no time at all to be back at camp.

The busses run regularly on the Monday. but there will be a queue so make sure you allow time.

I'm meeting the same press guys to camp with them this year, so pm me if you want to camp with us . the more the merrier. I'm going on the Wednesday by the way so will be set up already when you get there.

    Hope this helps.

  6. I'm 45 and having been doing festivals for decades now.

I now come to Leeds with my mate who's a similar age and my sons who are 22 and 18 and their mates.

I don't get in mosh pits any more. I'm usually the old guy stood near the burger bar at the back. You may have seen me. ( I have a Toy Story Alien Hat on constantly )

Another friend of mine is in her 40s and comes to Leeds with her MUM.

Do I feel too old for Leeds? Only on the Monday morning!

  7. Hi Everyone,

Every time I go to Leeds, I take an old stereo and make a playlist of whoevers on at the festival and also decent tunes of the time.

But I can never decide what to include.

Oh and I also chuck in the odd 'Oldie' classic in the middle of a disk for a laugh.

Not good ones, but ones that just don't fit.

You know the ones, You'd never admit to owning a copy but cant help singing along to it when your drunk.

Any suggestions of tunes for my playlist? (One from someone at Leeds, One Not)

Also any suggestions for this years Oldie Classic?

    Cheers in advance.

    Bollyhead.
