  1. Not sure what Glastonbury is coming to with 'rules' like this.  Our son, now 22, certainly wandered around the SE corner with us when he was under 12.  We often used to head to the Strummerville fire before it was moved.  And there are plenty of kids under 12 in the crew camping in the SE.  I'm beginning to think that some of the more judgmental commentators on here would be better off at Proms in the Park.

After some advice from people who have been previously.  Thinking of attending this as part of an extended campervan trip next summer.  Thing is we will have a dog with us so will have to stay offsite at a campsite that allows pets.  The dog can stay in the van on an evening when we go in.

So question is how easy is it to get a taxi from the festival on an evening after the headliner has finished?  Don't really fancy waiting ages for a taxi.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Last time I saw Arctic Monkeys (before Sunday just gone) was Reading in 2009.  On that occasion, The Prodigy who were on before them blew them away.

On Sunday, at Leeds, Bring Me The Horizon absolutely blew them away.  Have to say that BMTH's set was one of the best, if not the best festival set I have ever seen.

Perhaps the problem with AMs at festivals is that better live acts are subs...

  4. Also worth adding that Amyl and the Sniffers are playing on JP on the Sunday and are on tour with Green Day; if they can travel from Huddersfield and do it and then on to Dublin next day why can't Green Day.  And as others have pointed out Green Day played a secret set in the R1 Tent at Reading a few years back so have done short secret sets before and won't need the full production suite that they have on tour.

I actually think this may happen with Green Day going on to headline Glastonbury and Download next year.  Download is going to be 4 days next year so could easily accommodate Green Day along with more traditional rock headliners.

  5. Just seems too coincidental and if they can put the Killers on the JP in an afternoon set then why not Green Day.  Billie Joe wants to show the rest of the band what the festival is like.  Plenty of time to get to Dublin for the Monday.

  6. So, could it be them for the JP secret set on Sunday?  They have a gap in their tour on the Sunday and are playing with Amyl and the Sniffers on tour who are confirmed for JP tent on the Sunday.  Could be similar to Killers with JP secret set followed by headline slot next year.

  7. Got to be Green Day on the JP Stage.  Gap in their tour; on same day as Amyl and the Sniffers who are touring with them.  And shoe in for next year's headline spot.  Same as Killers

  8. Paid up.  But I have a question.  Just checked my son's registration photo and he is about 13 in the photo.  He is actually 21 now.  Can I edit the registration / photo after I have paid for a ticket?
