https://twitter.com/thesmiletheband/status/1620061715412193282 So that's The Smile ruled out of Glasto 2023 😞
How the hell has this happened again… sad times

Hoping it won't be full of people there because they hope Swifty is going to show up...
If we don’t get Swift we riot.

Assume he doesn't do multiple sets at every festival he goes to - straight forward to get to the czech rep. so they could easily do Friday at G and Sunday at MS or vice versa (unless there's anything else conflicting - I've not looked - other than having your fingers crossed)
He’s got it listed as the 25th on his site, whether that’s just a placeholder though
probably right can never rule Frank out when it comes to doing silly amount of dates but certainly moves him more towards unlikely -

Got the Thursday presale link - but if anyone has a spare one for Ally Pally today they aren’t using, would be hugely appreciated!
Slid into your DM’s there

Brooklyn Brewery is distributed by Carlsberg... I'd be happy if they offered a couple of their draught / keg ale options at every bar... Better than trying, and failing, to keep and serve good quality cask ale.
Just the more traditional Brooklyn East IPA, and maybe either a Brooklyn golden ale brewed especially for Glasto, or their Defender Golden IPA sold in kegs (or tankers,) at every bar would be an awesome step forward.
No sense them having their own 'craft ale bar' though, kinda gives me 'Emperors new clothes' vibes. 🤷♂️Yeah they have a “craft tent” at Latitude (also supplied by Carlsberg) which is essentially this, just various Brooklyn’s but it was a lifesaver when having to buy beer all day and not wanting Carlsberg or Carlsberg

Has anyone received their presale link for tickets tomorrow morning yet?

She was one of my biggest surprises at last years festival. I was planning to see Gabriels but ended up being nearer the JP tent so went to see her instead. She was excellent, decent sized crowd who were all very into it and while she was clearly very nervous, that just added to it. I’d happily have her back on the Other stage or high up the Park assuming she finally releases an album at some point.
Yeah it was packed compared to some other sets in there, deserves a bigger spot, new album could be out by then too

I still think that if she’s over here June next year she does it, but there’s a lot of variables to play out which probably mean I’m leaning more to 2025
i’d put my money on the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show first
(I hope I’m wrong)

I know I've already replied to this once, but I wanted to say thanks again... I cannot stop watching him perform, I've watched loads of his videos now, and genuinely think he has something very very special.
I can't believe he has so few subs, Hi Ren is quite possibly one of the greatest, most profound, works of art of my lifetime. Sure there are songs I 'enjoy' more, but I can't think of one single time in my life where I've felt that I've witnessed somebody pour their soul into their art on that kind of level. It's so raw and real. If that makes any sense at all? (And yes, I'm sober.)It’s absolutely something else isn’t it

Just need Helders to let something slip now and it’s the full set.

😄 Love the switching from 'hard five' to 'hard fight' to 'hard fly'
The character is really good value and only slightly too close to the bone - we all know one, and if not, well…

Damn but the Billy Nomates album is good.
Yeah really pleasantly surprised by this one - still weird seeing 2023 on an album but a good start to the year!

Ok so from M4, noting that for West car parks you'll need to approach from West side of Pilton so it requires a bit of a loop, I would probably do...
M4 > J18

A39 > Glastonbury
A361 East > Pilton

Have we already covered that Bon Iver are back in Europe in June?
Nothing after 19 June at the moment until August... GSH??
Europe dates have been out a while, and yeah it’s just got to be hasn’t it (I’ve been burnt on this one for 5 festivals in a row - stop turning up for cameos Justin!)
-
I always thought Lucy was on the 2020 poster but apparently not
they are rumoured at other US festivals in August but they all seem to have a big space (Lucy and Julien with nothing, Phoebe clear after May supporting Taylor) - so could happen!
Heard maybe a March release for an album (by heard I mean absolute hearsay online) but would fit a March / April hole in Phoebe’s dates.

Three of those headliners from Boston Calling (+ The National) at Glastonbury 🤞

BCNR 👌
Bon 🙌
MUNA 🌈
Paramore 🖤
National 😎
I reckon 4 out of the 5 on the poster… just don’t know which

i thought it was so cynical of Swift to release four covers of her last album as she knows the rapid Swifties would buy all of them
Yeah but you’re forgetting they made a cool clock thing when together and look great on my wall
