If your prediction comes to pass I will most definitely buy tickets tomorrow!
Last time they co-headlined with Kings of Leon so it really, really, really can happen;)
If they announce Blur I’ll definitely buy a ticket.

Arcade Fire seem like a shout for this now. So does FATM.

I thought that might have been the case. Still a strong trio and probably enough to tempt me away from Primavera after the shambles of the first night this year.
The Chemical Brothers feel a bit weak for a headliner. Isn’t that the dance name after the actual headliner?

Anyone else thinking that Blur might play? Just have a feeling that once i get Wembley tickets they will announce in the future they are playing the same weekend at Madcool.
I hope they play. Would be huge.

Decent enough headliners. Thought the Chems would be on this.
Weak undercard
The Chems is exacly the headliner you call when you’re out of headliners.

Harsh.
Saw Kendrick yesterday in Dublin. I had fun and he puts up a hell of a "show", but the music itself is left neglected. If this set is to reach RWs mainstage it's gonna be the biggest consensus disappointment since AM at RW18 (and until AM at RW22, I guess).
Festival goers won't stand for the one-minute-long treatment of his greatest hits (seriously whats up with that) and the massive use of playback
Kendrick is on fire on his latest tour though. Can’t imagine it going down badly if the does the same set he did at Glasto.

This festival is very, very quiet.

Announcement tomorrow
Imagine Blur playing this. 😍

Blur is exactly the kind of name I’m hoping for now RATM isn’t playing.
2023 just became a bit interesting after all.

THANK GOD no Taylor I'm doing glasto and werchter now and was certain she was gonna show up at both to spite me 😂 couldn't think of anyone worse except U2.
Don’t know if she’d be good live but at least she would’ve shaken up the standard fest we have now…

August? It’s still the summer 🤷🏻♂️
August is the hottest month of the year.

Weirdly underwhelming first announcement, but maybe a lot of the other higher-up acts are embargoed for a few weeks until other festivals are locked in. I guess they just wanted to get tickets on sale ASAP.
Makes me think AM aren’t there.

Yeah this whole idea that GnR are a dreadful pitiful headliner that drags the entire top row down is hilarious. Literally one of the biggest and most recognisable rock bands ever with a huge array of widely known songs. This isn’t Ash stepping in at the last minute to headline after playing way down the bill earlier in the weekend.
I tried to warm myself up a bit for GnR by looking at some recent shows but my God did watching that last Download performance make it worse…
That crowd looked as bored as the band on stage. And the ugly ass looking stage production, oof.

Some definite scope for some European dates actually for Pulp, and Jarvis said “so far” on the tour announcements. Stick them in the Barn opposite Stromae and suddenly it’s a very appealing prospect to travel for…
Against Muse please.

Roskilde announcing on monday, maybe Kendrick for both them and Opener?
-
Very curious about this one…

I expected a stronger co-head for AM on sunday. I still can’t see them selling out that day with these headliners.

Trying to think who would 100% convince me to go at this point and I don't think it's headliners. I'd be looking for something like
Radiohead / The Cure / Depeche Mode
And we all know that ain't happening. Will have to be a crazy undercard instead.
I will be hard. The 3 current headliners do nothing for me.
Blur could change that…

Came here to drop this blood in the water.
"No longer are Arctic Monkeys doing a theatrical interpretation of a thing, they're now just doing... the thing."
He's right, you know.
Very good quote that.
Agree with him about the singing too. The way Turner tries to be a crooner in here sometimes sounds… comical.

That one sounds more like an interlude rather than a song for me.

Arctic Monkeys are playing Bilbao BBK Live, wonder if it reduces their chances of being at Mad Cool 🧐
Can’t see them playing Mad Cool now. There’s a chance, bit it’s slim.

So booking Blur is less of a risk for festivals with a smaller budget?
Blur is exactly the kind of special name this lineup is missing. The headliners announced thus far are very been there done that and are hardly inspiring.
