  1. I have a ticket - if the festival gets cancelled because of the coranvirus I am seriously hoping that I will be able to use it next year rather than us all having to try again - does anyone have any definitive answer on this ? 🤞🏻

  2. My niece has just texted to say she’s got a volunteering place with Oxfam - if we gave her a lift on the Tuesday would we get any sort of priority parking/skip some queues etc? Any advice appreciated - thanks

  3. I’m So - we’re travelling down to Paignton from York for New Year to see my dad and I’ve booked us in for a night in a pub at West  Pennard en route!! I couldn’t help myself - seen the sign for Glastonbury so many times over the years from the M5  - so I’m taking this chance to do a recce! Will we be able to park up near the festival site and actually have a walk round?! The idea is to get a feel for the place before I get  too giddy nearer the time!

If you are a first-timer, you may not realise that the map doesn’t change much at all from year to year - one of the joys is that it feels like revisiting your favourite town. Rest assured that every little change that is made will be pored over obsessively on here ?.

    I think I’m becoming obsessed already ?

  5. I’m thinking now that they aren’t actual individual locker type things that no one else can access but more like a cloakroom where you leave stuff in a more open space and get a ticket?

Book a camping weekend in or two before Glastonbury to get used to the tent, plus see what works for you so its all not so alien when you get to Glastonbury. Camp on the outskirts/not so busy field and ear plugs are amazing. Pillow , a tent you can stand up in and a porch of some descripiotn. I still love a sleeping bag plus a blanket.

You;re going to have an amazing time - read lots and come on here with any questions you may have.

Great advice - was thinking in the back garden but actual going away with it all sounds good

I assume you're driving not going by coach or train?  Just be aware before thinking that all this equipment is a good idea that it can be a hell of a walk from your car to your camping spot - our first year it was nearly an hour - and that was to a camping spot near the entrance gate we entered through!  So choose wisely!

I am such a lazy arse, I would rather do without stuff than walk to the car more than I have too!  So since then, I have taken no food or cooking equipment and just bought everything there!  Ditto pillows, duvets and the like - I manage fine with camping pillow and sleeping bag.

Just weigh everything up  and think about what will work for you.  What is essential for one person is the last thing someone else will consider important.

This sounds like my boyfriend! He doesn’t even own a pair of wellies - yet! Yes to the driving then  I can cram it full ! I’m thinking maybe one trip in with the tent and camping stuff between us then another trip with the rucksacks etc - spare clothes and extra booze left in the car

Ah, I'm the complete opposite going on holiday. I just bung stuff in a case 20 minutes before heading to the airport and what I've forgotten, tough shit!

Glastonbury is a military operation though because I know the more organised I am with what I take at the outset will directly effect how much I enjoy it. If I don't take pillows and a duvet I know I won't sleep as well... although I could just take more booze to counter that ?

I'm currently spending my Sunday morning looking a tent porn as mine finally gave up the ghost at Kendal Calling a few months ago. I figure now is a decent time to grab a bargain before the newer models come out

Was going to ask when was the best time to buy a tent - maybe I should go out now and look as it’s raining!

I used a she-wee for the first time this year. Great using them in the female specific troughs but I'm nowhere near brave enough to go anywhere and use them. I need to master the art of not exposing my arse to everyone first! ?

Think I need to buy one and try it out in the privacy of my own home?
