Not a fan of commercial sponsors at Glastonbury but I am quite looking forward to Goldie Looking Chain headlining the dryrobe stage.

Been close to breaking point a few times while queueing for toilets. Must be a nightmare for people who are not able to use the urinals. I would definitely need to change my drinking habits (and probably should anyway).

Wookie is supporting Annie Mac in Bristol on the Saturday. Good chance he’ll be playing? Which stage would he play? Levels?

I’ve seen people being searched on exit. Always assumed they’re looking for people leaving with stolen property or large amounts of cash.
Are they also searching people taking out extra tickets and wristbands?

Ground is hard and dry. Depending on volume of rain overnight and tomorrow that could obviously change but I can't see it being welly conditions.
Thanks for the info! It looks like it’s going to rain a fair bit tomorrow. Is it all open to the elements and grass underfoot?
Might have to hideout in a pub for a bit and arrive a bit later in the day.

Can someone who’s going to Primal Scream tomorrow report back on the state of the ground please? We’re there on Saturday for Rudimental and are wondering if we really need to pack wellies for a London gig!

Has anyone been to any of the South Facing events in the last few days? I’m wondering if it’s been impacted by the weather and whether it’s likely to be muddy this weekend?

I meant “separate” but “desperate” also works

Our group have a mix of standard and vip tickets for Rudimental. Does anyone know if we will all be together to watch the show or does vip have a desperate viewing area? Thanks
-
The group I dragged along to see them all absolutely loved it.

Best was the mixed platter from the Moroccan place opposite the Cornish Arms.
Not bad, but incredibly expensive was a £9.50 cheese and chutney toastie in Silvee Hayes.

Yes it's wrong! I should really of been trimming our laurel hedge this weekend as it needs to be done. Fear of pre Glastonbury weekend power tool / back injuries has made me reconsider.
Best not to cut them during a drought. You’ve done them a favour.

The staging is amazing? Really excited for a decent stage in SH. I miss the Blues stage.

Tested the set up of my 4 man f&b last night. Dead easy to erect, pack up. Well impressed.
What I’m not impressed about is my mate’s 3 man I ordered from decathlon eBay on Monday. Still not been dispatched and no answer to my messages. Was supposed to be delivered today. Think a last minute dash to their nearest store in Telford may have to happen on Monday if it’s still not here. Wont be impressed if I have to do that.
You could order a backup from the Next website. Next are good with refunds if you end up with two being delivered.

I can get you in, no problem.
Just send proof of £300 donation to Oxfam or WaterAid and I’ll get it sorted.

Unless you’ve got the money for a hospitality ticket, don’t bother.
There are other ways to get in, but they aren’t guaranteed, and Auntie will probably spend the entire festival worried about being ejected for not having a wristband. The stress really isn’t worth it for Auntie or your Mum.
You should concentrate on making it a special weekend for your Mum and the rest of your group that have tickets.

Personally, I think the maps are detailed enough. It leaves room to stumble into a few surprises (hopefully).

Staff/crew really need to be close to where they work (hospitality can do one). The core Glade crew have been moved out to Pylon this year, some Green fields crew with live in vehicles are going to be put in Bath and West - which is frankly disgusting - they need to be in the Green Fields where they work.
Punters don't need to at any specific place at any specific time.
I’m not crew, but I’m sad to hear this. If the people that make the festival such a great event are slowly being squeezed out it will lose some magic.

Talk to people. Offer to help someone that is struggling with their tent. Share a mallet, pump or any other handy item you might have with you.
Go for a walk, smile and talk to more people. Everything else will fall into place.

and not sure if this helps, but this is a recent map from the Mendip Council licenceing gubbins showing crew camping, but also lists stages etc:

edit: permissions changed - anyone should be able to open this now 🙂
Interesting as that shows only half of Pylon is taken up with crew camping. Unfortunately, it’s the East side, but it does suggest it may be possible to walk South from PGA and avoiding a detour past Woodies.

Always arrived around midday on Wednesday and never really had any issues with queues at that time. Can end up being forced into a very distant car park though.
-
Expecting the camping areas around gate A to be overcrowded if Pylon is going to be staff camping
