Never related to MCR's song teenagers more than this year at reading Sunday lol

And guitar music is definitely not just an older crowd atm, London punk and rock scene is very young lately

The people my age at guitar acts are the type to pick you up if you fall down, like at courting I had to back out to tie my shoes and someone kept an eye on me. In frank carter someone fell on my ankle and fucked it so they moved me to the back and checked I was okay
The same age at rap crowds didn’t give a fuck about anyone else
My music taste is very varied but I do lean towards punkier stuff lately, but I've never really noticed a massive difference between genres crowds, rock fans do tend to be better in the mosh helping people up and not going too hard but there's a good proportion of dnb and rap fans who do the same, you get twats in all genres I've even had problems at idles gigs

Was into courting before I saw them live, wtf is that autotune about? Cringe
-
Also my first year going just drinking and smoking, used to go in with all the hard stuff when I was younger so maybe I just didn't notice how crazy it was then lol

Honestly, I didn’t encounter a single dick head at all this year.
Last year was horrible and was the only time I’ve ever felt unsafe. This year couldn’t have been more different. The whole vibe around the festival was so much more positive.
My friends and I are all mid to late 20s and we were camped next to a group of about 16 lads (and a girl) who were all 18 and they were the loveliest, funniest and most positive bunch you could wish to meet. They could be a bit boisterous at times but it was never hostile or intimidating, they were just a bunch of young lads having a good time and being silly, exactly what I was like. Everyone else camped around us was really young too and we’re also lovely. We had some massive games of beer pong under our gazebo with loads of our neighbours. It was a brilliant vibe in Green all weekend.
I said it the other day but this is the first time in a few years that Leeds felt like the Leeds I know and love so much. It was a classic year.
The kids camped near me were sound luckily but everyone else seemed nuts, might have to come Leeds if I go again

Oh and I'm in my mid 20s before people start calling me an old fart lol

Bloody loved everything about Leeds this year. I can’t stop smiling about the weekend.
People less shitty there?

Also did anyone see CVC? One of the most exciting bands I've seen in years
-
Ended up going this year cos couldn't sell ticket, most bands were amazing, bmth stole the show, pendulum secret set was beautiful, arctic monkeys were a bit dead but still cool seeing them, left early Sunday and glad I did seeing all the shit that went down, what is with this next generation? Absolute scum, I know I was a bit of a dickhead when I was younger and went nuts at reading but this is next level, people throwing glass, attacking eachother, saw someone burn a gay pride flag, underage girls half naked with shit like "cum slut" written across them, people getting stabbed and most of them have terrible taste in music, although I was surprised at the amount of people at bands such as deadletter and bilk which was great, all in all fun weekend, would have been way better with rage but what can ya do, PR was a joke this year, prices were horrendous and security were trash, gonna take a massive lineup for me to come again and if I do I sure as fuck won't be camping, if you have kids who go to this festival be careful

Maybe Django Django as replacement headliner 🤔

Top 3 bands everyone is looking forward to?
They’re not in my top 3, but I think Bullet will really attempt to pull out the stops. While it’s not regular Download, the fact they’re finally headlining it in some capacity is going to be massive for them, so I reckon they’ll be the most motivated they’ve been in years to put on a proper top quality show.Wargasm, bleed from within and Frank carter 🤘

It says pre sale Tuesday and any left over will go on general sale so I don't think they're saving any
-
It's beautiful and I need to go:'(

If you start the payment plan now for 22 do you get pre sale access?

Likely to overlap by 15 minutes...
Ah well I'm seeing idles like 4 times this year so 15 mins won't hurt
-
If squid and idles are clashing I'm gonna be pissed

Day splits and stage splits tomorrow

That tbc is a nice Django Django sized slot 😉

Very solid lineup, undercard especially good, sick

Smooth jazz all weekend

Kinda hope it happens now

Last minute leak, no acts this year they're just relying on people doing kareoke on the mainstage due to budget cuts
