  1. Safe travels everyone. Just a cautionary note for those traveling by train through South Gloucestershire. My daughter was tavelling to Bristol today (from Cheltenham) and had her journey disrupted because the heat had buckled the railway lines!

They did get underway via a diversion and not too delayed thankfully.

  2. The team on the site must get an amazing sense of satisfaction at the end of each day when they look back and see how much tangible progress they have made. I look at what i have achieved today and see it amounts to sending, deleting and filing c200 emails. Only tangible output are the 10 dirty mugs now in the kitchen. Not entirely in the same league!

remember to take none of this for granted when we get there next week.

  3. Cider, ideally from the cider bus when in the locality, supplemented with a few micro kegs (aka cans) of craft beers, mostly dark as they seem be more acceptable not chilled.

Enjoy a bit of weed and pretty much the only time if year I partake. Just adds to the sheer escapism of Glastonbury for me as well as being dam enjoyable.

  4. Suitably inspired by all of your comittment to the cause to post for the first time.

Only secured my ticket in the re sale which leaves me playing catch up. Of course I know that I should have been looking after myself better but with Glastonbury to look forward to I have no excuses.

By the Sunday at last year's festival I was completely wrecked and I hope to avoid that this year (although better folk than me were victim to the conditions).

Not really looking to loose much weight, perhaps just 1/2 stone but really want to feel fitter.

So, plan is to exercise but to mix it up. Lucky to live in great cycling country so have been back on my bike (proper MAMIL I am afraid - probably not a good Glasto look!). 3 Good rides in the last week. Plus super long dog walks wearing my walking books to harden my feet. Plus, running and boy did that hurt today. Sat here now feeling like I have someone elses legs!

I know its worth it and will keep coming back to this thread for motivation.
