When you leave the station they'll be plenty of festival goers heading in the same direction. I usually head toward the river, and down to the Green Camp entrance - you can be either have a day/weekend ticket at this entrance.
It really depends what time you're looking to get into the arena. There's always a small queue when the arena opens at 11:00, but if you were keen to get in immediately at 11 I'd get there for 10:45.
That's brilliant, thanks for the info!

First time at Reading and going for a day, most likely getting the train so where do I need to go for day ticket entrance? And what time would you recommend getting there for doors opening?

Thats only like £2 less than buying direct, plus loads of hassle. I would lower them to a pound below the cheapest on twickets if you want them to sell, theres currently some for £38. Or try on their facebook page. also wrong forum maybe try the field day thread.
Thanks for the advice, I'll try that now

Looking to volunteer with Festaff at Cream this year as I can't afford to go otherwise - has anyone volunteered here with them before? If so what's it like?

Anyone know how much merch and food/drinks roughly were last year? Trying to budget spending money as travelling round Europe for a couple of weeks after

Very surprised (and so very happy) to see excision playing, he rarely plays in Europe let alone UK as far as I know due to dubstep not being very big compared to America so that makes it even better for me

Could it be Paloma Faith? Not checked tour dates or anything but I'm certain I've read in an interview with the guy who books it they're desperate for her to play?

Chances of Fidlar? Heard them on a playlist for Lolla Paris this summer and want them to be at R&L now!

Anyone think the delay in the announcement means they're trying to go for someone bigger (e.g. arctics instead of foos) or something?

Kings of Leon confirmed as a festival exclusive to British Summertime Festival so rules them out. First official announcement should be coming next week though

Chase and Status are nowhere near headline level.
They've headlined Boardmasters and Wireless festival this year in the UK, although it's more likely they'll co headline if they were to headline as reading and Leeds are bigger than Wireless and Boardmasters

I think either Blink 182 or Green Day will headline as the 'big' act Festival Republic now book (Metallica and RHCP's). Although I doubt it'll ever happen, I think Skrillex would kill a headline slot. But Chase and Status are a more likely headliner as they haven't played since 2013 (excusing Rebel Sound) and that was a sub headline slot...
