Does anyone remember if Biffy closing both sites in 2016 was announced before the festival started? I'm entertaining the thought of getting a Sunday day ticket for Kendrick but really don't fancy it if Panic are going to be closing the site.

Does anyone know roughly how quickly tickets tend to sell out for Parklife?

is anyone else here hyped for basement early on NME?
I expected them to be low on the Lock Up so I'm really happy to see them on NME, really excited to see them again after the release of Promise Everything.

Happy enough with that announcement, Thrice, Nas and Good Charlotte have added to a lineup I already liked.

not really as that's what he originally called himself
Fuck I actually typed it the right way, oh well I'll leave that as a testament to my stupidity.

Everyone calling him Fetty Wap is so funny and original wow.
I'm not expecting any fireworks from Thursday's announcement but I'm hoping for someone from; Thrice, Brand New, La Dispute, The Front Bottoms, Mac DeMarco or Jimmy World (I swear I like British bands too). Either way I'm happy with the lineup thus far and I'm excited to see what Thursday throws at us, I'm sure there'll be someone good in there that I hadn't even considered.

Clutch / Thrice / The King Blues / Modern Baseball / ROAM
Thrice and La Dispute would bump the current line up from solid to great for me. Can see both happening with Thrice putting a new album out in May and La Dispute at ArcTanGent & Hevy the week before R+L. They're touring together in the US in June too.

Foals, Boy Better Know, Basement, Blossoms, RHCP, Biffy, The Vaccines, Two Door Cinema Club, A$AP Rocky, Cage The Elephant and The Wombats should all be fun.

Shite like that SpottedLeeds account undoubtedly will take all of its "info" from sites like this one, so it's almost definitely bollocks.
Wolf Alice are pretty much ruled out, and I can't see any space for any of the 3 anyway, let alone ALL 3.
Yeah I thought the same, figured it was worth posting anyway, might stimulate discussion and speculation at least.

The Twitter account Spotted Leeds has stated that Wolf Alice, Don Broco and Twin Atlantic will be on the next announcement. You wouldn't imagine them being the most reputable source but they accurately predicted; Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, Biffy/FoB, Crystal Castles and the dates of a few announcements so they seem to have some solid info (ignoring the odd misstep like Bloc Party and Drenge being predicted).
Just curious, how many acts are normally revealed in the 4th announcement?

Can't believe that I've never bothered with Twenty One Pilots before. I've fallen for their music in a BIG way.
I saw them at the O2 in Leeds last month and they put on a really good live show.

Which bands would everyone like to see added to the lineup; I think it's good but I feel a couple more bands across the weekend could make it great.
I'd personally 2-3 of: Don Broco, Deaf Havana, Sum 41, Arcane Roots, Django Django, Peace, The Hives
Out of those I could definitely see Sum, Don or Arcane Roots slotting in, not sure about the others...
One or two from; Brand New, Thrice, The Front Bottoms, La Dispute, Drenge, Sum 41, Death From Above 1979, Mac Demarco, Jimmy Eat World, Genghar, Fidlar and Tame Impala would do me very nicely but I'm pretty happy with the lineup as it is to be honest.

Doubtful that La Dispute will play since they're at Hevy and ATG instead. Not many bands play Hevy or ATG and then play R&L. They're still a possibility I guess and I'd love them to play. I believe that The Front Bottoms have been announced for two festivals in Europe in August so they're still a possibility
Ooh, fingers crossed for The Front Bottoms for me because I missed them at Leeds Stylus last month.
-
I'm hoping for La Dispute seeing as they're at Hevy Fest and ArcTanGent the week before R&L.
Would also love to see Brand New, Thrice and/or The Front Bottoms but I'm doubtful of those.

Perhaps Chvrches won't be subbing then, I don't really follow them. I've seen some people tipping them for the spot so just used them for it. I'm hoping that Tame Impala will be announced for that slot though.

I think the headliners are pretty strong, obviously the Chilis are a big draw and Foals and Biffy are well known for their live performances and are popular among the Leeds/Reading crowd. Not sold on Disclosure and Fall Out Boy personally but with there being five acts being billed as headliners there's a bit of everything; rock giants in RHCP, a band looking at potentially becoming a household name in Foals, a hugely popular pop-rock/emo staple in FOB, renowned live act with Biffy and something alternative with Disclosure.
I'd say that I find the subs pretty weak (presuming Chvrches, Imagine Dragons and The Vaccines sub) as only The Vaccines really do anything for me. As for the rest of the lineup I think it's quite strong and there's definitely plenty of acts I want to see, with some solid additions in the next couple of announcements to pad it out a little I think it could be great.

so which of the five headliners is everyone most excited to see?
I'm most excited for Foals because I really like their music and they have a great reputation as a live act. RHCP are a close second however and I'll see Biffy on the strength of their reputation and their 2013 set.

It's a shame because they've booked some good hip-hop artists over the last couple of years like Vince Staples, Danny Brown, Mick Jenkins and Nas. Obviously Post Malone, Lil Pump and Playboi Carti are hot right now but for me personally they're very uninspiring.
Hoping we see any of Injury Reserve, A$AP Ferg, Joey Bada$$, Schoolboy Q or Big KRIT in the coming announcements. Any one of those on the Kendrick day would sell me a day ticket.
