I'm in Sticklinch and haven't received the parking sticker, and See haven't even replied.

Those who go out in shorts and then add leggings later for the evening, how/where does the switcheroo happen? Do you just whip your shorts down in a public area? Can't imagine wanting to get changed in the toilets...

Bath has one but I believe it only applies to vans/trucks and commercial vehicles.

VG5/6 are always good fun at the top of the site. Where all vehicles / artists tour buses park etc. Back in 2017 met a fair few artists, Emily and her husband and others, was a cracking place to do my one and only volunteering Glasto (so far...)
Huh, I did VG6 last year and didn't meet any artists/Emily....I did see a lot of tour buses coming through, but no one stopped for a chat! Decent gate though, but the night shift really dragged after the traffic dried up in the early hours.

Cheers, appreciate the inputs! Assuming the worst and I am posted at some isolated gate…how strict are they about entertainment? Could I have one earplug in with an audiobook? Could I bring an actual book?
You wouldn't be posted somewhere on your own, you'd be with at least one other Oxfammer (and often some security staff) so I think the audiobook would be weird.

I just got one for a friend! Refreshed a few times and there it was.

Does anyone have a view on how competitive it would be to get a Sticklinch/WV tent?

What is Finsbury Park like as a venue? I know it well as a park but have never been to an event there.

I think the coach packages ARE timed departures, in the case of London and Bristol only. So I think you could try for coach tickets (and then of course the general sale is a backup).

I had a good experience with Oxfam. We were on VG6 so not a terrible walk away, and we were able to swap onto a pretty good shift pattern. I also loved camping in the Oxfield. However, I think if you had the worst shift pattern and a very distant location, it could be quite hard.

I was one of the once loving it and it defo felt like the majority of the crowd were the same.
I realise it's a controversial opinion. I think I just found it quite downbeat and quiet for that time in the evening. I did enjoy her more upbeat songs.

I found Phoebe Bridgers a bit boring but everyone else there seemed to be loving it so probably just me.

Wouldn’t be free, they’d have lost their deposit so effectively have paid.
I believe there also may be a blacklist for people who do this - not sure if that’s for future volunteering though or general admission too.
Whichever, still a shitty thing to do.
As described, they had left the site entirely because they couldn't take the work/hated the camping. These are not volunteers who are doing it for free entry, they are paid staff and were working 12 hour shifts with no day off. So, the festival itself is not a big draw with those hours as you would have little time to enjoy it. Having chatted to many security people, in general they were not festival people, many had never camped before.

Regarding security and management. I was with Oxfam and working with security. They said over 100 security staff had left the first day so they were really short staffed.

Does anyone know anything about the equivalent with Festaff - would 2 festivals with them this year qualify for priority even if one or both end up cancelled?
-
I've received the rejection email too.

The Cranberries at the NEC, supported by Dodgy, 1995.
-
We wanted RunFest too, when it turned out not to be available we panicked and just selected Beatherder.
-
Don't understand how anyone could have got through that - I was able to load the page several times including early in the process, but Glastonbury was never in the list. So how could it have been in the list for other people?
-
I genuinely don't see how people could have got through the process significantly faster than I did / what I could have done to be quicker.
-
Does anyone know what the application process for Festaff is like? E.g. is it a fastest finger situation like Oxfam?
-
When trying to get through with Oxfam, should you refresh the page or not? I seem to remember someone saying you shouldn't.

I am amazed they have yet to be booked. Saw them at Beautiful Days (which you would think was not entirely their demographic) and they were flipping brilliant. They could easily headline WG, or play JP/Park. Wouldn't like to see them on the Other.
I'm also amazed they haven't been at G. I saw them at Beautiful Days and also in London. An earlier JP slot would be perfect for them.
Any sign of Pulp yet?

I also thought the sound was poor at Cardiff. It was terrible for Baxter Dury and seemed to get slightly better, but still poor, for Pulp. They were incredible though.
