  1. Hi Hugo!

I worked Glastonbury last year and am hoping to work again this year! Quite a few people go on their own and  have a great time and make loads of friends too! Sometimes there's a thread where people who are going in their own post, nearer the time, so that might help too!

    : )

  2. Bad news Quark, redundancy consultations are always a complete nightmare, how is it that HR departments can NEVER get it right - that is what they are paid to do! But glad the pub has improved matters!

I am in the process of moving desks today as I am moving teams so not much work being done - all a complete farce as I will be handing in my notice on Monday but cant do it until our Head of Department is in the office.

I can't wait for that meeting, it is going to cause quite a bit of a stir as I have been here for 11 years and they think - in their deluded manner - that no matter how much shit the top man throws around ( and he is a cock-knocker of the highest order) people will just suck it up. Well here is one who won't - it is going to be very satisfying :girlhaha:

NFR NFC peeps - hope everyone has good things planned for the weekend x

Yes did the same recently and they were shocked . If it's getting that way , you are well out if it and going to happy new job.

  3. Unless you've experienced Glastonbury 'first hand', no amount of stories or experiences from other people can prepare you for the truly personal that awaits you.

    This place is magical.

    No overstatement.

    Seriously.

    It hits you.

For me, the second I arrive I feel this deep feeling of peace and contentment.

I just know the next few days are going to be beyond incredible in every single way.

I know that I'm about to experience every single emotion multiplied by 10.

    I laugh.

    I cry.

    I listen.

    I talk.

I Learn (SO, so much) (& maybe I even teach sharing my own experiences?)

    I hug.

    I bond.

I forge new friendships.... Some lasting, some fleeting (but even those momentarily incredible)

When it comes to the time I have to leave, It's a sad, sad time.

An empty feeling because of what's at the other side of 'the fence'.

    Without fail tears are shed.

Why can't 'life' in general be like this?

Glastonbury has been compared many times to Brigadoon. (Google it).

    Thing is, Glastonbury is real.

It appears every year (pretty much), & if you're one of the fortunate few to buy a ticket.... Prepare yourself. Embrace the experience and prepare yourself for literally the (life changing) time of your life.

I look forward to other Glasto friends sharing their own experiences here x

This was my first Glastonbury and I was up at 4.30 ready for shift at 6. Looking out across the site was just magical. Sun rising and still some lights on. I'll remember it always. And the music -felt euphoric! No ale , no drugs, just music........just amazing.

  4. Hello :bye::bye:

This looks like a thread to join in with. A bit late but hope that's ok. I must say I often don't post as don't want to be involved in arguments so often just read threads but this is a nice friendly thread. Now I am off to buy a new more comfortable bike saddle so I can ride my bike without fear of injury :prankster:

    Hellooooo!

  5. I bloody well hope so! Apparently the phone signal is pants so if you want to find me, I'm in emporers field before 11am, and at the treeline at the top of the main stage during headliners. Otherwise I'll be wandering. Be lovely to see you again x
