There's quite a bit on youtube from that set, was a goodie.

Pendulum 2009 Other Stage is one of the best Glastonbury sets I have seen, 2011 Pyramid was one of the worst. 2011 was a mixture of a seriously shit new album, stage too big for them, disinterested people waiting for Beyonce and the fact that they don't really suit daylight sets.
I'd like to think that if they played again on Other/JP in darkness and steered clear of their last album they would be great.

Just been told by the guy that always gets my lot silver hayes backstage passes (his sister is a secretary at Glastonbury HQ) that Bring my the Horizon will headline Saturday up against Adele on Pyramid.
-
My friend asked Michael directly about the chillies one year at Pilton Party and he said they would never play because they demand too much money.

I think Sunday will be BMTH into Pendulum up against Ellie Goulding into Coldplay

In all seriousness, I think Rammstein could destroy (perhaps literally with their pyrotechnics) an Other Stage headlining set.
I think a lot of people would go for the novelty and they would certainly put on show.
Can't remember their ever being a band as heavy as them though?
Edit: Has there ever been a foreign language main stage headliner before?

Rammstein for Glastonbury!!!

Seems to be getting a bit serious, I think they will play more than just that one date at Ultra.
If they do get a slot at Glastonbury, preferably in the dark, on the Other or JP, and steer clear of any 'Immersion' garbage, I'm game.

I think this would be a pertinent time to quote the infamous philosopher, Superhans:
"People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis, you can't trust people."

The 'naughty corner' is good but can get really busy at times, most nights last year my lot went over to the other side of the site, Arcadia/Park area. There's loads of places to go in the park, the silent disco and all the bars, and then right next to it is Arcadia, and then if you feel like it, it's only a short stroll up to the top of the hill to look at the view of the site at night.
Also, last year I remember right on the edge of the Arcadia field backing onto the Park there being a little chilled out area with small fire pits and candles and stuff where people would sit around the campfires and have a chatter, that was a pretty nice little area.

They are on a fake Glastonbury poster that has been going around, and it got me to thinking....
They are obviously touring Europe around June/ July
Rock am Ring 3-5 June
Rosklide Festival 25 June - 2 July
Bravalla Festival Sweden June 30 -July 2
C'mon Eavis, bring JB and KG to Glastonbury!
If they were to play where would they fit? I'm really unsure about their popularity... Daytime Pyramid? Sub/Headline Other? JP?

Anyone see them last year on the Avalon Stage? They were one of my highlights last year.
Replied to my 'are you going to do glastonbury' question on Facebook with 'Maybe ;)'
They call themselves Celtic Punk and are great for a good jig. Were the first un-signed band to sell out Nottingham's Rock City I think. I think they will probably be on the Avalon again, seemed to suit the stage well.

Yep, the Knife Party project sseems to overtake Pendulum.
Purely why I hold a grudge against them.
With more succes Pendulum could have headlined Download or Reading I reckon.
Yeah, they got seriously popular for a bit after their last album before they disbanded. Which is odd because it was by far their worst album.
-
Pendulum in 2009 were really good, great vibe as the sun went down.
Then they played in 2011 on the Pyramid and were shit.

Some people are going to have gone to bed around 10.30 and get up in the morning to hundreds of fresh pages, they have no idea what is going to hit them!
There they are. Sound asleep. So blissfully ignorant of what awaits them.

I suppose the last ever tour thing would put enough gloss on an uninspiring booking to make it seem ok
-
If this was a done deal as far back as the ETC event or even that quote above in February, then that Paris gig would surely have been rearranged by now...
-
Can't see it, just can't see it. That french gig would have been cancelled by now.

“There’ll also be support from an artist like Paul Weller or Noel Gallagher. It will be a dream night for rock fans.”
For me this quote is dodgy 'an artist like Paul Weller or Noel Gallagher'? WTF does that mean? They have not yet booked the sub, and are specifically reserving the slot for an rock artist that made their name in a band and is now solo?

SLAYERRRRRRR! YES!
It would be an absolutely bonkers booking and even more bonkers on the Park Stage!
If it is true, the 'heaviest' band to ever play Glastonbury?
