  1. Can anyone shed any light on the WV resales?

Long story short, the wife and I didn't try for tickets in Oct as we were meant to be busy with other things but life had other plans so we're now going to try in the resale for tickets. We've done the last 6 festivals at WV so would also like to get a scout tent if we are successful in the resale but I can't remember anything about resales for WV?

    Thanks in advance :)

What are the tents nearest to the entrance on the right side, are they six man?

Depends which way you're walking. If going towards WV then yes you are correct. The central ones were the 2man scouts this year but they do change the layout slightly each year

  3. Anyone got a link to the planning application for what they've applied for/got permission for? As far as I can see there hasn't been one submitted yet. The most recent permission being an infill extension to the festival offices

  4. Random one but do all the crew get a party once the festival has closed i.e on the Monday night? Or is it just a case of partying with the rest of us once your shifts are done?

  5. Does anyone know why the full line up wasn’t printed in the programme or the mini one? I don’t remember it being like that in previous years, meant you needed a phone (which I didn’t have, not a smart one anyway) to get on the glasto website to view the full line up

I've had so many horrible Mondays on the A303 I don't think I could ever trust going that way again!

We left WV at 8am and we got caught in about 30mins of traffic on the A303 but otherwise was plain sailing. Always seems to be where it bottle necks back into a single carriageway before stonehenge

Possibly the good weather and ground conditions meant people were more mobile, the Kylie miley afternoon was really crowded trying to get onto the already crowded field not helped by an awful lot of picnic rugs, folk lounging flat out, more chairs than I can remember and those big blow up couch things that take up a lot of space. Ok on a normal day but not when really busy, something that has to be addressed.

Yeah it really was rammed. That was the busiest I'd seen it all weekend that day. We were by the ice cream van at the bottom of pyramid and it was shoulder to shoulder there for Kylie Miley

Yeah that person  posted in Glasto Chat that she said yes!

Looks like there was a few proposals over the weekend. Even seen one photo of a proper sit-down wedding meal!

Ah wicked, can't have been cheap arranging for that. Got a link to the chat?

How about having a plane fly over the pryamid next year with your face on it ?

Talking of planes, did anyone see the proposal flying over the site on Sunday, did she say yes does anyone know?

  10. One of the best for me, in the top 3 anyway (only out of 6 total though). It was definitely busier though, noticed it more on the Wednesday whereas usually didn't notice it getting busier until the Friday. Maybe more people arriving earlier due to the fallow year or people wanting to make the most of it. Didn't really notice it get any busier until the Sunday when the locals came in.

As others have said, only saw people once not using the facilities. Was in the JP urinals after the streets, blokes queuing to get in the urinals and then pissing up against the tarp. General improvement all round though

  11. Lizzo at WH for me. We saw her by accident as we were passing to stop for a drink and something to eat and stayed to watch her. Was also my Glasto emotional moment when she gave her speech about self love etc. Great set

Heh, I was East 15 so I feel ya! By far the worst part of the festival was going through Gate D with all my stuff to my convoy's campers.

Out of interest, what's the cheapest way to do Worthy View if just booking on your ones? Really considering it next year if I get a ticket but not sure if I'll have anyone to join me.

The scout tents are always the cheapest options they offer. This year they were £295 for a two man version plus £45 for the car park ticket. They've generally risen the same each year as with the ticket prices so I imagine next year they will be £300.

  13. They should definitely of had a bigger stage. Me and the wife and brother managed to just get in on the left of the sound stage against the barrier. It was like we were at the front. The security chap on the sound stage our side wasn't great. There was a gap at the back which a few people walked through and were standing on the back of the sound stage scaffolding. No one seemed that bothered though as they didn't get told to move.

    Absolutely awesome set though

  14. We also had a great time here this year and will be back again next year all being well. As others have said, with the toilets on busier days we waited until we got to Strummerville to use the longdrops there. I was initially concerned about the change from EPO wrist bands to the 'normal' festival ones thinking that it would be a pass out situation however I was pleased to hear it was because they had made WV "part" of the site. Essentially all it meant was no checks when entering the main site which I thought was good. Disappointed with the extra WV band which was plastic though, given they were trying to reduce the amount of plastic they could have used something more friendly. Wonder if they will change that at all next year.

Wasn't there this year nor the chameleon.

Ah yes I'd forgotten about that one as well. A few stalls missing as well that I used to enjoy. Glad to say the Samosa stall in Other field was back again though. Love that place

Is getting back in line through security going to be a bit of a bother? Or should I expect a fair delay?

No it's fine. You go to the side to have your wrist band checked but much faster than being searched thoroughly as the first time you enter

We have tried to contact Tangerine Fields and Glastonbury regarding this but they both told us to ask the other but is there a way to get a taxi from the site coach station/taxi rank to the Tangerine Fields site? These are miles apart and we are arriving by coach & the thought of having to go through the arrival rigmarole only then having to exit the site at the other end to walk to the camp site? I don't know how the one way systems work, or have any idea where a taxi could be to help us.

There is info on the Tangerine website regarding this under the arrival tab. Looks like you just need to take your booking confirmation if you can get a taxi, otherwise it's a hike through the site unfortunately: https://www.tangerinefields.co.uk/events/glastonbury-festival.html
