  1. 3 of us stayed in a 4 Man Bunkpad/Pigeon Coop at Sticklinch this year, I think 4 adult's woukd struggle to be comfortable in there but it was ok with 3. Top bunks could do with lowering 2 inches though for a better sleep.

Sticklinch itself was alright, got there 10:30ish Wednesday, was at our tent within 25 minutes of parking up.

Thought security on the entrance gates was abit over the top at first, think they had been told to be extra cautious. No searches on firat entrance, but 2nd entrance they where searching most people, 1 guard also tried to say I had too much alcohol, also seen a fella arguing about being abke to bring a bicycle in.

The facilities where pretty average, could do with 1 more bank of compost loos, normal loos where good and well managed but annoying when they where broken Friday.

Shower situation was crap tbf, I only got a shower Thursday & Saturday as couldnt be bothered waiting 45 mins to an hour. I'd rather they doubled the number of showers and charged £2 a go, there not going to increase them without cost going back to users, so this would hopefully half the waiting time.

Food offering looked pretty basic, much better and less ques in the festival.

We always stayed in Oxylers previously, so the walk back each night was a killer.

would probably complicate the ticket buying thing as such a high demand...

Not if they only done it when you paid off your balance.

Couldn't be done on the initial ticket sales, as you say, just overly complicates things. The resale aswell, would just have to be full tickets.

Did find Wednesday & Thursday to be alot quiter than 2022 this year, the Stone Circle was dead Wednesday night, normally packed.

Don’t be silly. No one would leave after their wed/thurs ticket expired

😂they mean a Wednesday entry & Thursday entry ticket.

Something the festival may look at, at one point I guess. When paying your balance extra £20 for Wednesday, £10 for Thursday. Likely too much hassle at the gates though

  4. People standing in ques for the toilets, while 2-4 of the cubicles are empty🙃

People still bringing kids and their war chariots into Shangri-la, place is already massively crowded, don't need to battle with familys attempting to look like there not hating making the mistake of bringing their kids to Glasto, and causing crushes with there mini 4x4 trolleys, onoy place there where crushes for me this year. Shangri-las finished imo just not enjoyable.

Thought this year was vastly improved over 2022, which was dangerously overcrowded at numerous times each day. Far better crowd control/management and possibly less attendees (last year I knew 12 people who bunked in pretty easily with security, this year none)

  5. No chance can't ban the flags and nutters who carry them all day😄, there a big part of Glastonbury culture tbf.

Could ask people not to take them into the pit, or for them to be lowered before a set starts in the same way they ask people to stand up for more room, over the speakers etc When fields are busy

They just don’t make music for festivals anymore, or at least not for headlining one, and despite their best efforts, their fanbase just isn’t playing ball on their new direction so they’re constantly playing to crowds who want their old sh*t. Real weird position they’re in really - tried to pull a Radiohead and get weird but it just hasn’t landed at all with the people going to their shows.

Tbf Body Paint seems to go down really well at there recent gigs and one of the most sang along to, even on Friday.

  7. Thought they where brilliant tbf. Sculptures of Anything sounded amazing on the Pyramid speakers, wasn't expecting them to open with that, couldn't knock the set list.

Glasto audiences do seem to want more audience interaction from acts, which they definitely could of done, especially the few times it took a short time to transition into the next song. Turner acting too cool for his own good really😄

My tip is dont be such a wet wipe that is so prepared they bring all sorts of extra camping equipment just to cover all eventualities. It makes you sound like you lead a very dull existence, like a Mark Corrigan but even sadder.

Cans get cold in your tent overnight so they are normally chilled in the morning. This is a good time to drink a few. After that, they will warm up, but im afraid that is tough sh*t. Is drinking a lukewarm beer really that terrible? You are in a middle of a field mate. If you really cant handle it, go to the bar and pay £6.50 for a chilled pint of Carlsberg.

😂 chill out mate festivals nearly here

  9. Saw them Friday and they where great. Even the new songs went down brilliantly.

Do wish the Glastonbury set was 10-15 minutes longer to fit some more songs in, hopefully they run over slightly.

They will probably engage the audience more at Glasto, where in Manchester there was little if any of that, so that cuts down playing slightly aswell

  10. We go every year always end up in somehow, sometimes 2 nights, go early during/before a headliner if you want to beat the ques.

If your just going to have a look at the venue its not really worth queing up, but have been to some amazing raves in there over the years, try and work out if the people playing when your planning on going will be to your taste.

I think they utilised the space better last year with improved seating to the left instead of wasted space that has been there some years, still think the main dancefloor could be expanded a little bit increasing capacity slightly.

On the flip side have never set foot in the rabbit hole, so will be braving the ques for there this year

  11. Would probably aim for camping in Dairy field this year if we weren't in Sticklinch, have been in Oxylers for years, but last year seemed extra busy there.

    Cultural diversity.

Excluding artists and performers, I'd be surprised if I saw more than a couple of 100 black people this year and not too many more Asians.

I've noticed at Glastonbury, and the other festival I regularly attend (Shambala, a gradual decrease in BAME ticket holders year on year.

Sadly it is largely a white persons festival and increasingly middle class.

It's not always been this way.

Would say last year was definitely the most ethnically diverse crowd I've seen at Glastonbury, but would agree probably less diverse than the average festival

I have one of these which I actual bought from a recommendation on here before last years festival.

    ISOTHERMAL BACKPACK 20L

I should imagine it would leak though 😞

Most I have come across have been fairly poor quality and end up leaking.

May just opt for Quechua, maybe put a dry bag inside🤔

I have their portable cooler, that is waterproof, but it too big to lug around in the day, great for the tent though

Some payments may fail within the 24 hour payment window and some people may decide, on reflection, that they don't want to pay all that money for a ticket, which could possibly lead to some secret resales.

Hopefully, the festival might just allocate more hospitality tickets though  make alot more money that way

  15. Went on Saturday last year, £14 or so entry (can't recall the exact price but thats sticking in my head), 3 hour que for a hot shower, 25-30 minute for the cold😂 will be giving it a pass this year

Nice place to go if you've never been before though, atmosphere was abit worse than other years, with people trying to push in lines and being abit over crowded.

Imagine with Sams Magic Hat no more and the general overcrowding throughout the festival contributed to far more people using it than other years.

  16. Hopefully helps with crowd control but tbh I've never noticed that many children/families there during the night.

Wish they would also ban chairs there, people sitting down in the Gas tower took up loads of room last year, was a factor in the big crushes near the outside of the venue and general over crowding throughout the area.

Hard to police etc but if people are asked not to take chairs into the SE would likely see a small drop in the number of people taking them there, plenty of places to sit and chill on the edges of the area

  17. Oxlyers this year as always.

Was on the field at around 10:40, camped towards the back, and it was already chocker then, managed to get all our groups tents moderately close enough together, with a few other groups nearby offering to move there tents abit, tents where to chocker and close together to have our normal fire lot though this year, expect you would need to be on the field before 10 from now on to get enough space to do so.

Neighbours where all pretty sound, had one group/family near us in a massive steel framed tent, with around 80 guy ropes, that seemed furious behind the eyes when asked if we could move one of the ropes😆 they seems to spend most of the festival in there own self sectioned off, patch of grass infront of their tent😆

Will be looking at Sticklinch next year just for the ease of not writing off the Wednesday
