Do you have an answer to this? We are going this year

Can’t remember exactly but pretty sure we stayed in The Shire. Was plenty of space and quiet but we only ended up staying two nights because of the rain lol.

Can't say about Bristol, but for the London coaches (departures every 30 minutes with multiple coaches for each departure), they are strict; they check booking confirmations before letting you out of the pen.

Ah great, can relax in the morning getting to the coach knowing I've got a guaranteed seat at least haha

  3. Booked return coaches from Bristol with National Express. Are they very strict with times (especially going back). Don't want to get to my coach to find that it's full up etc, I know that can be an issue with some of the Glasto See coaches?

That springsteen thing was pretty unprecedented yep! older audience with more disposable income too (although i think younger people are more willing to chuck £100s at harry styles or someone on viagogo after getting unlucky)

    What was the Springsteen thing?

I went to Liverpool Arena for The Darkness and Black Stone Cherry on Sunday night. Free tickets (I ain't paying £50 for that) so going in with no expectations.

The Darkness are a fun act with a few decent tunes, the set was interrupted by an alarm going off and the building being evacuated after one song. Soon back in though and it sort of improved the atmosphere in a bizarre way.

Black Stone Cherry aren't great, basically New Country with a distortion peddle and drum solos. Not horrific but not for me.

Support was from Danko Jones. Again, alright but not someone I'd listen to at home.

Still.. as I say, it was free and a better way to spend a Sunday night than watching Vera.

Got free tickets to this as well. Used to be a huge BSC fan as a teenager, gone off them now but I’ll go for the nostalgia trip.

Glad to hear it was semi decent, should be a good night tomorrow.

Turnstile in that Friday night park slot would amazing. They were my highlight at Jp last year.

Presume that's JP but would be an absolutely ridiculous run of Death Grips - Turnstile - Deftones, I wouldn't be moving.

If aphex is the headliner... I can't see it selling that many tickets tbh. He's not really a proven draw to get 50k people in a park. Will need a VERY strong bill under him

It can be tolerated with Macca and Elton because they’re among the greatest songwriters of all time. Axl Rose on the other hand …

…has written some of the greatest rock songs of all time?

Just because you don’t like the music/person doesn’t negate what he’s achieved.

I wouldn't recognize one GnR song.

Never understood this "he can't sing but it doesn't matter" nonsense. It's vital, esp with the likes of Macca or Elton, their act is all about singing.

    What a baffling lie

i'm fine, not sure glasto's rep will be, tho, can't guarantee "top level" headliners any more.

Looking forward to it not selling out next year so I can easily get a ticket.

    Don’t Cry.

  11. Think I paid round about £110 for Pearl Jam at BST, it was the Amex garden party thing which was only about £20 more expensive than general admission so we thought why not. A lot of fun in the end and easy access to toilets and booze.

I imagine if Taylor ever tours here then that will be the most I’ll pay.

Madonna on Friday for 2024 is what my money is on

    Taylor on the Sunday

Guns n roses on the Saturday after being invited back from their iconic life changing performance in 2023

Not sure I could hack another year of Neil and Kalifire moaning every single day about GNR.

  13. Gonna suggest Neil put a quid in a jar every time he moans about GNR. By June he should have enough to pay for some headliners next year that he won’t moan about and save us all some grief.

  14. Arctics - Once at Mad Cool 2018, thought they were tight as a band but the slowing the tempo of songs is the thing that gets my goat about them. Gonna try and cop a ticket for their tour before Glasto, doubt I’ll be seeing them on the Pyramid.

GNR - Once at Download 2018, thought they were brilliant, they could do with cutting out some of the dead weight from their sets. I think a 90 minute - 2 hour set would be enough. Definitely seeing them.

Elton - Not seen. Unmissable for me.
