Do you mean on the day?  I missed this too - I was in meetings all morning (although I knew it was coming). But the weird thing is… I bought my tickets on Twickets. So original price (and only one pair the whole week on Viagogo for £250 each). And I kept looking… there were quite a few on Twickets on the run up to the 14th. I doubt there will be next time though.

Yeah guess I'm wondering if I need to be glued to their socials now for some spontaneous ticket drop type thing. Seems that might be the case.

This is interesting as I always thought the page was coded to go live at bang on 18:00. How watertight do you reckon the ticket buying process is these days I.e no back way in or getting to a page before it should go live?

No idea, but the key with the ticketmaster thing was using the government clock, not another one such as the one on your computer as it's not as 100% accurate.

  3. Here's one I've never seen people talk about. What exact time does the sale start? A while ago I learned that with Ticketmaster here in the US, you needed to pull up a government clock and click reload exactly between 2 and 3 seconds after the hour to get in. Too soon and you would be locked out, too later and others would have gotten 'in' before you. I've always wondered when exactly See opens it up as it could give you an advantage.

Let's all do a thread where we predict and / or suggest who could end up playing the best stage at the fest!

Been listening to Jalen Ngonda - he's out of the Daptones stable but I think he's actually based in the UK.  Debut album coming soon, and due to see him in Glasgow in the Autumn.

Definitely some Marvin Gaye vibes on this one

    This is some good sh*t

Nu Genea with the live band

    - may be one for the park but could see them having a nice early afternoon slot

Yes, would be all about this

Forever wanting, but Theivery Corporation would be absolutely brilliant on that stage

They make so much sense, agreed, amazing live act too

  5. One of my most cherished musical discoveries of the last couple of years. Seems perfect for West Holts

No idea what the touring situation is, but seems like he is at least somewhat active based on this

Yes sort off but it was not a big deal (at least it went over quite smoothly)

    Thanks

Details finally released for this year's setup. Maybe it will be a bite more streamlined.

We actually kinda did this last year, since we were staying at sticklinch, so we parked near the thing, walked to the box office, and drove to sticklinch. However we did arrive on Thursday, so probably much less crowded and busy then on a Tuesday or Wednesday arrival

Did you need to explain the situation to the stewards?

Maybe, maybe not. I’m having a bit of an issue with that particular time slot 😩

I’m 7 months pregnant though so if you do happen to see a small blond girl looking a bit on the portly side, please do say hello!

Hope the clash isn't too brutal. Gotta love Glasto...

    And congrats to you!

We will be towards the back - the American-looking couple with a toddler. See you there maybe 🙂

Question as a glasto first timer - On the Friday I plan to see Fred Again then head to the glade to see Enzo Siragusa and the first 30/40 mins of Carl Cox before heading to IICON before the main stage headliners end to catch Four Tet and then want to see Sherelle on Arcadia that night.

Is this even possible? I've seen comments around the site saying that you should pick one area and stay there the whole night.

    Totally doable in theory

As for the rule of staying put in one area, not at all the case in my eyes

I absolutely agree with this and we do similar every year. We’re half an hour away and will probably have a nice lunch too first. But then I’ve never been one to camp in the super popular areas

Yeah I'm liking that this is the consensus. Thanks for weighing in!

Btw see you Sunday night at Woodsies? (based on your username)

We had a great all terrain buggy that I bought off Ebay. Used it one year to take my lad then after that used to take it to carry my stuff in it was ace. You'll be quite close to the kids field in the greenpeace area which is pretty cool and a lot more chill then the main kids field. My lad was one when we took him, weather was absolutely terrible( U2 night) and we spent most of our time in the tent run by midwifes for little kids, proper sorted us out ha

Sounds like quite the adventure! Appreciate the tip on the greenpeace kids field. Genuinely excited to check out some of these new areas this time around.

Get up, have brekkie, wait for the madness to die down and roll up at 1pm.

    Sounds like a solid plan

Happy days then mate. I personally wouldn't worry about it, no need for camping panic roll up at lunch after a good nights sleep to the TIPI!, bit of a walk to the TIPS though!

For sure. Done the Gate A to top of Pennard a few times, but this will be a new adventure with child and their gear. Appreciate your advice!

done it a few times staying in Chedder, had no problems at all arriving around lunch but you'll prob struggle to get in cockmills if that's your plan would get into wickets ok though.

Good to hear. Unfortunately, staying in Cockmills went out the window when we found out we would need to collect our tickets at gate A due to the new overseas ticket shipping policy. Fortunately, we bagged a tipi in a resale.

what time are planning to get to the carpark?

traffic will be bad, unless you go very early, I used to try and get there around 3-4am on Wednesday and we still had long queues to park and long queues to get in.

Getting in Tuesday night is one of the few ways to avoid the queues

Still not sure. 8am-12pm range probably. Avoiding the overnight thing as we will have our 2-year old with us. Also trying to minimize time waiting in the queue for that reason. But trying to balance those criteria vs excitement to get on site and begin bimbling.

Bit of both but still can save hours and stress. Not sure any of the shortcutty tricks work anymore now most everyone comes Wednesday.

The part I bolded is the goal, hopefully it pans out.

  15. We are staying in Shepton Mallet on the Tues for the first time and hoping it will make Wed morning all the more chill. Curious of anyone's experiences with this or similar. Were you able to reach car parks fairly easily on Wed morning? Or does it not make much of a difference because the worst of traffic would still in between you and the car parks?

Hello international contingent! We are heading to Glasto from Norway with a rented campervan that we pick up in London. Since Seetickets has a very strict definition of EU (that doesn’t include Norway) they refuse to send our tickets and campervan pass, and we need to pick them up at the box office. Anyone from last year that arrived on the Tuesday and was able to enter the festival area and pick up their tickets and campervan pass Tuesday afternoon/night? Seetickets just says to have our confirmation printed and contact the stewards to get the tickets on arrival, but for some reason I don’t imagine it will be that easy😅
Went in 2013 and 2015, and both times the tickets got sent to Norway so don’t know what changed tbh…

Im curious about similar. This not shipping international thing is new to me as we didn't attend last year. Hoping that we can at least get the tickets on the Tuesday in that case.
