MB said stuff like, "oh last year, the reason for slow sales was because of the recession". NO. The reason for the slow sales was because it was a shite line up. Hopefully this year it will be a lot better
-
So glad i brought my ticket in the presale. If it is Blur, Kasabian and Foos then that is a superb line up
-
From the Facebook site:
'12 DAYS TO GO until we can finally share the mother of all line-ups with you!'
It must be good then!!
-
The way Official R+Ls are going on about it on Twitter it doesnt make sense. They are saying the headliners are "incredible" & "you wont want to miss it, it's amazing". They are either Over-hyping everything or it generally is a "incredible" line up... But my guess is on the first one.
-
If Flo does headline I'm taking comfort from the fact that there must be somebody awesome on the NME/Lock Up/FR to make a lot of unhappy people happy.
Florence headlining against an average NME headliner would be suicide for the festival
-
They're subbing at Download and IOW so very unlikely. Probably headline T and R&L next year on the back of a new album and arena tour.
-
I think Florence will play, but not headline. No one has said anything about Biffy Clyro maybe headlining. They played in 2010 didnt they?
-
Soundgarden to headline the NME tent maybe?
-
Not to long to go now. Past week or so Rumours have been a bit dead. That or Efests are being paid by FR to keep quiet..
-
What? i thought Reading had "Uk Exclusives" on Headliners.. Either Kasabian are NOT playing or theres a new rule this year..
-
Are you sure it's out of Green Day or The Cure for 3rd headliner? Or could it be someone TOTALLY different??
-
Whats the chances of No Doubt being there? Heard a rumour going round that they may be there...?
-
All this stuff about The Cure.. Will they headline? will they sub? Etc.. The ULTIMATE question you have to ask is, will they actually be there at all?
-
LOL For what conceivable reason would The Cure have for headlining NME? The only way it COULD happen is if The Cure were taking their 'reflections' show on the road like Primal Scream last year - but that isn't happening and The Cure wouldn't do it anyway as it would not work. For a standard Cure festival performance, its not going to happen
Its like asking one of the UN veto members to give up their vote, there is no reason for them to it.

A few good points in there. But if im being honest if it's out of them or The Killers to headline...I would choose The Cure anyday..
-
The Cure aren't big enough for the MAIN stage IMO. Nme headliners would suit them..Also it would be one of the biggest NME headliners in years.
Does anyone know the capacity of the Radio 1/NME Stage?
-
"Round the houses and end up in China " that was the one
-
It's Linkin Park... 2009 they played Knebworth House... Ended up in china about 2 weeks later.. I think
-
go round the houses...end up in china?
What if it means they played Knebworth HOUSE and then finished their tour in CHINA?
