  1. Having been to Glastonbury for many years we are looking for a change.  Please can anyone whos been to Latitude before help me with a few questions:-

    • Thinking of arriving in a motorhome.  How far is it to walk to the main areas from the motorhome camping area
    • Is there any camping in the motorhome camping area.  My grand daughter would like to come and she would have a small tent but don't want her camping on her own
    • Food at Glastonbury is fabulous, particularly the vegetarian varieties.  Is there specific vegetarian outlets at Latitude ? I hate burgers and fast food is there a variety of food outlets selling good quality, reasonably healthy and interesting food.
    • What are the queues like for food ?
    • I see that the main arena area doesn't open to later in the morning.  Is there anywhere to get breakfast/coffee before the main areas open

Thank you for any help xx

  2. There is nothing like this unfortunately.  I am going with a friend with health difficulties and we  will carry her stuff for her, with other friends.  Would be great if there was but sorry. Does she know where she wants to camp.  Some camping is very close to pedestrian gates. Maybe that's the option for her particularly if she is happy walking a bit further each day but without a load (of the rucksack variety).  Congratulations by the way.

I believe there is help for registered disabled but don't have info on that as my friend is not

  3. Mum just needs to find it.  It will be there somewhere.  Go and help her and think logically and illogically. Turn over every bit of paper.  It will be there somewhere.  Good luck

Photo from 2016 about 16th June I think. Before the mud.  Scarily looking decidedly brighter than today.....

It'll all be alright in the end and if its not all right, then its not the end...

Me too ? its had that status for weeks. Genuinely think I'll be the last person to get theirs ?

Well its nice to know Im not the only one.  There is still plenty of time but.......

  7. So how many people still don't have a ticket and the website still says ??

'Tickets are in stock and will be despatched shortly to the address provided.'

Like me.  Im the only one in our whole group that hasn't got my tickets.  Thank God for the tracker as that comment is keeping me sane but I'm not sure for how much longer

Don't knock it mate. At least you know you can go and get it. I'd be well chuffed. Mine is still in the ' We will send it out when we can be arsed ' pile.

Me too.  Everyone else in my group has their ticket and I organised the whole thing.  V frustrating but thank god for the tracker at least its not saying they have been sent out and we haven't got them...

  9. My tracker still says ?

Tickets are in stock and will be despatched shortly to the address provided.

Anyone else in this position.  Did someone say that all tickets will be dispatched by Wednesday ?

  10. I caught the train once and thought it was amazingly well organised.  Virtually no waiting.  Live band playing music and efficient shuttle service.  Enjoy the vibe.  Im sure you will be fine

Oh and I arrived Wednesday morning too

  11. Love getting up in the morning and walking across the site in my Pj's and getting an early morning coffee. Great Thread.
Think the Aeropress looks interesting but you miss all the early morning Glasto sights - late night revellers who've not quite made it home, sleepy people, security guards asleep on a bench, litter pickers dipping off for a quick coffee and on and on.  Had some of the best conversations first thing in the morning too.  Never been able to do this at any other festival Ive been too where they restrict your movement in the mornings.  Will definitely track down the Proper Coffee stand - 'says what it does on the tin', Love it.  Cant wait x

another point thats not being discussed, make sure you put the payment card holder as the lead booker. and the card address will be prefilled for you. if using a payment card thats not the lead bookers you have several more address fields to edit before you can submit it

Surely the card doesn't have to be the lead tickets name.  Anyone can pay, cant they ?

  13. There was no WI tent - we've loved that over the last two years.  Coffee and cake and a great fun atmosphere.  Really missed them.  We were told that they had problems staffing it.

Also no Hurly Burly bus.  Another of our eating favourites.  As you can see food and in particular coffee and cake, is a very important part of our Glastonbury, in fact any, break away

  14. Anyone know if the WI are here this year. Not in their usual place but a friend saisd shed seen a sign but cant remeber where?

love the coffe cake and banter

it is but the crossing you are thinking of is the one to the right of there, with the big red tent just below it.

Edit: at least I *think* that's the one you are thinking of...

No I'm sure thats the rail crossing at the corner of Pennards Hill (Toilets on the flat not on the railway line) Near the Glade .  Its all very confusing -

For someone that doesn't know the site all to well, whats all the stuff on the far left of the webcam. The small blue/turquoise tent? and all the stuff the only side of the road to the right?

I am also confused about that area and tent and I've been more times than I care to say.  Is that the big rail crossing, that's always really busy (with block of toilets on the railway) up from the West Holts and on the way to Greenpeace.  If it is then I've no idea what a turquoise tent is doing there.  Sense of direction not my thing so excuse me if I'm totally wrong.  Also it looks so different without everything in place.  Very excited now

  17. We went from Paddington first train and it was packed but they opened first class and we were in the right place at the right time and got a seat.  It was manic though on the train, people standing on people.  Once we got to Castle Cary though it was very well organised and a swift access in.  I would say get there early as you can
