  1. I'm not sure what we are supposed to think about?

Other than that the stones has been given the same price as everyone else. There's no conspiracy theory, no cockiness. Just a website writing a simple article and using the headline to grab a little attention. It's worked. Nothing to see here.

  2. Mine always go straight onto the keyring after being slipped off in the shower, looks pretty cool once you've got 6 or 7... would be so devastated if I lost the lot though. As for the 'I don't need a strip of fabric for my memories' argument, I think it's pretty ace to be reminded of a sunny/rainy/muddy beautiful Summer weekend in Somerset when glancing at your wrist or set of keys when you're leaving your house on the way to work on a miserable November morning!

  3. I just want to say that I massively disagree with the undertone that younger festival goers such as myself are more responsible than most. I'm 18 and have gone to every Glasto and Reading since I was 15.. and Reading, although it is now rammed with middle class kids who go just to be seen afterwards with the wristband, is always much cleaner after than Glastonbury. I'd put it not down to any age or demographic, rather the fact that the scale of the place doesn't compare to other festivals. Where at Reading i'd have a 10 minute walk out of the site, it took me upwards of an hour at Glasto, so I reckon the 'can't be arsed' attitude after a long weekend is the biggest contributing factor.

  4. Your mate's a c**t, your wife's a b***h and you're a p***y.

You need to let him know in no uncertain terms the seriousness of breaking the 'what happens at glasto..' rule.

You need to tell her that your not twelve and don't need permission to go out for a sleepover.

And you need to grab your Tiny Tims and man up!

  5. I got a coach ticket in the resale this year, while the rest of my mates have standard tickets. They'll be at Castle Cary at about 10 am on the Wednesday, while my coach ticket leaves Bath at 9 am... Any ideas on which of us will get in first, and should therefore take the groups' tents to pitch while the others are on their way?

    Cheers

  6. It also varies alot depending on what sort of band is you're after.. if it's U2, wait for the first big, crowd jumping, song to come on, and you'll be able to surge through while everyone is bouncing around. If it's Coldplay, what i'd imagine will be a far more static crowd (I sure as hell won't be there), you might find it a little more difficult.

I remember using this technique in 09 for Blur, got as close as I could (from the side) before they went on, and when they played Girls & Boys fairly early, blitzed it throught the crowd and was basically at the barrier!

  7. Hi everyone, long time reader and first time poster here, and this'll be my third glasto.. I was the only one of my Glasto crew unlucky enough not to get a ticket in the orignal sale but sneaked a coach ticket in the resale. Coming from nearby Bath, I'll be at the site fairly early on the Wednesday - hopefully early enough to find a spot on Pennards. The rest of the group will be arriving a couple of hours later, so would it be unreasonable to corden off an area large enough area for 3-4 more tents until they arrive in such a sought after area? Cheers.
