Showdown at Glastonbury is my favourite. Seeing how knife edge things were, and I thought the documentary was fair to both sides
Can’t recommend this documentary enough fantastic watch

Anyone know where the recycling team's recruitment is up to? My wife and I have been patiently waiting to be either offered places or rejected. (Yes, we were recommended by a pervious volunteer).
Also, if we do not make the cut this year, will our recommendation carry forward so that we can apply again in future years until hopefully we do make the cut?
Hi maybe worth sending an email letting them know you’re interested rather waiting for them to contact you.

I don't think so mate. I usually end up getting a taxi. The bus service from Glastonbury to Pilton is bobbin's pretty much all the time and during the festival is probably worse. I have used it. I think it is ran by Frome coaches / buses and drops outside the Crown in Pilton.
Can see me getting a taxi again despite the festival surcharge.
Im pretty sure they don't put on any kind of staff buses on that route as usual default is Temple Meads and Castle Cary
Thanks mate.
I didn’t think there was just couldn’t find any info anywhere. Taxi it is.

Does anyone know if there is a bus from Glastonbury town centre to the festival/bath and west on Monday 20th?

Didn't this have Escape From NY last time? As good as some of the films are I think its missing that late night drive thru element. Apart from maybe Titane.
Nice potential theme though for Saturday. You can see Paul M perform Let Me Roll It on the Pyramid then go straight to see Licorice Pizza which has that song on it's pretty great soundtrack.
Yep 2019 Sunday last film was escape from New York. Was hoping for more 80s horror this year.

Il be watching this for my glasto build up week, the first time I saw it was before my first one and remember thinking this place looks like another planet.
As well as reading bits of the book, few BBC sets and that YouTube one with Michael and the Villagers jostling over planning permission (if anyone remembers the name of that)
Is it showdown at Glastonbury Goode versus eavis. It’s on YouTube 1992 festival about Anne Goode and the Williams brothers and everyone else against the festival. Well worth a watch

I really wouldn't. Litter pickers make you slower and the hoops are far too fiddly. You can easily hold 2 of the bags in one hand, sometimes three if you get the technique right.
That’s 2 definite no‘s to hoops and a picker so I’ll listen to the pros😁.

If you really want to @acidhoose it is officially discouraged and you would need 3 hoops anyway for each bag so I wouldn't but some people do use pickers.
Thanks for the heads up. Didn’t want to be the newbie with all the gear but no idea😁

Just got an email stating the new entrance procedures this year. Not going to say anything else on here but will be annoyed if it means no crew bars for the litter pickers.
Hi.
I just got my email too. I’m new to the recycling team this will be my first year as a volunteer, I’m on the co op team and was wondering if I should bring a Litter picker and hoop?
thanks -
Ok picking just one is impossible so I’m going for a top 3
bon iver 2009 never heard of him went along with a friend was open mouthed throughout his full set he finished with the wolves fucking hell check it out on YouTube incredible
chic west holts 2013 he played lasts dance and full field erupted not one person stood still was having a full on dance off with the people stood next to us
2019 only me and my twin brother managed to get tickets in our group he’d been having a shit few months in the run up to it so I really wanted to do something with him that he really enjoys. He’s not the sort of person to look at the lineup that doesn’t bother him at all but he’s right into films so on the Sunday night I got us a car in cinemargeddon to watch his favourite film escape from new York he was grinning from ear to ear watching it with his cans lined up on the dashboard quoting all the lines. Walked back to our tent as the sun was rising Monday morning a moment that will stay with me forever

Forgive me if I'm wrong but is this the stuff that's 6.8%? If so, had it at a beer and cider festival a few weeks back and it was amazing.
Amazing/a work of great beauty. I think I’ll get a 20ltr next time?

Just ordered 10 ltrs if Kingston black for next weekend. Should be enough for a trial run ?
