Tim has prostate cancer and Zach still hugely limited mobility wise following his achilles rupture

genuinely feared the worst when i seen Brad's post. hoping it's Zach's achillies that's put the mockers on it.

But it's all worth it when you're standing in a freezing peat bog watching Father John Misty crooning about his viagra addiction.

I’m out of upvotes so spitting my tea out reading this will have to do mate.

They were aware of some of the issues early this week ... big call to make though , guess they thought they could fix it and numbers just got too big

guessing pulling the sale now is infinitely better than the publicity of someone in the middle of buying tickets being told they havent got a registration

They claim they have been aware of it since Monday. Which to cancel now with 4 hours notice is just an utter farce.

ah well that is shambolic, probably seen their arses and didn't want to risk the even worse publicity of people finding out in the middle of buying tickets tha they haven got a registration.

Personally the issue is with the timing and the amount of time they would have had to resolve this .... the last sale was in April , they then made a decision that the sale would be a month later than standard . At certain points they could obviously see issues with registration detail numbers  hence all the reminders ..... im fortunate that my days off happen to be Thurs and Sunday , people will obviously be frustrated about this with the inconvenience it causes and thats pretty reasonable . cancelling a few hours away is a pretty sh*t look from them tbh

playing devils advocate here, but maybe they're only aware of this in the past few days. i know i'd be religiously checking my reg was ok in he lead up to ticket day as would my mates, possibly those who though they had valid regs have now realised hey haven and it's happened since See/GFL sent the emails out saying the cull was happenimg.

I’m surprised Springsteen is there again. Saw him there in June 2012 and it chucked it down in the afternoon, followed by most/fog an hour before he came on. He signed off by saying ‘Good night Sunderland, it’s just how I imagined it’

There was a rumour Anfield was meant to be in the mix but they only have a license for 3 gigs a year and Swift has nabbed hem all

I'd be amazed if it went back to the signs. I read an interview (think it was with his manager) where it was said he hated the signs as they ruined the flow of the show. However, people just kept bringing them and it got out of control.

Its a shame - I'd prefer to see THAT Bruce too, but he has moved on.

Given that 2023 was "greatest hits" heavy, I'd expect the same again, hopefully with some variation.

Personally, I'd just like to see him shake up the middle of the show, bit fed up of Kitty's Back, Last Man Standing and even Backstreets, all of which were untouched throughout the run. Other than that he can play what he wants.

The signs could be hit and miss i find. i was at the Manchester gig in 2016 when he broke out "santa claus is coming to town" for the fella in the santa suit and as bat sh*t as it sounds 50,000 people singing it in the middle of May was ace.

We've got some intense work going on the Sunday and not enough staff - looks like I'll be pretty busy but should be able to find half an hour.

If they’re using the delayed payment method like they did in the resales it’ll be all done and dusted by 9.15

Admittedly i have to caveat this by saying i've hated Take That for absolutely years - since i was at secondary school, in fact! - but i just cannot countenance them playing at all. OK pop is increasingly appearing at Glastonbury, and they do/have written their own songs and arent as manufactured as other acts, are very famous and loved in the UK, and lots of people go to their gigs, which are big old productions.

They appear to hit every metric for headlining or legending EXCEPT Barlow is an absolute throbber of the very highest order and i can only presume that the Eavae concur with this, and dont want him anywhere near. God bless them.

they're also massive in Europe so wouldnt be surprised to see European dates and possibly swinging back to the UK specially for Glasto.

  10. I’ll say it again I’d be all for them raising the deposit to £75 or possibly £100 to take the edge off any significant price increase. Especially if they’re keeping the delayed payment method in place like they had for the resales. Gives people and groups time to move money round appropriately

was that meant to rebuild air studios??? it never happened, still derelict.

Martin shut The studios shut in 1989 after a previous erruption and record labels tightening their belts regarding sending artists away for months to the Caribbean to record.  But he had a house not far from there and still lived there at the point of the big eruption. By all accounts it was strictly to raise money for the locals. Back to jimmy macca posted a lovely tribute to him on twitter this morning.

Sure looks like plenty of people are behind the stage to me... and in south america its more extreme but lets not even get into that.

That's virtually the same stage layout that coldplay had in Manchester including the screens on the side of the stage.

That explains a lot. It’s uncannily similar. The same self-important tone.

Just googled him and he used to write for nme he’s the one who interviewed Keith Richards when he claimed he’d snorted his dads ashes mixed with a bit of lemo.

his wiki page sums him up quite well

In his writings, Beaumont has often favoured a caustic, confrontational and at times humorous prose style, especially when writing on artists or records that he does not hold in particularly high regard.

Awful, awful review. Flashbacks to the bad old days of the NME and MM in the 90s where reviews were basically pre-written based on the reviewers prejudices without any attempt to be objective. The journalists tastes are superior and their opinions more important than everyone else. Excruciating.

(Though at least you can tell he hates GNR, the other Music press speciality back then was the review where you could read the whole thing and have no idea at the end whether it was actually any good or not 😄)

Him and McCormick have protected their twitter accounts because of the gnr stans getting on their cases 🤣🤣

  15. if people are saying Annie Lennox there were rumours of her and Dave getting back together and i think Eurythmics would go down a treat with a few of Annie's solo songs thrown in i Dave's ego (if he even has one) allows it

  16. Would have loved take me to the pilot and burn down the mission but that’s just nitpicking after watching that. Up there with Neil young, macca and blur as one of my all timers.

People who take up loads of space on blankets and chairs on the big stages near the front camping out, f**k off and go somewhere else or stand up it's selfish.

Genuinely think Elton might be peak picnic this year and blood could be spilled….
