  1. I have 2 spare tickets for 86TVs at the Joiners in Southampton tomorrow if anyone is interested? Just looking for face value.

Can’t list them on Twickets as it’s just a group confirmation email directly from the venue for the 4 tickets so would have to meet anyone who is interested there and enter together.

  2. I tried for 4 standing and it said no, then tried 4 golden circle just to see and it said no, then tried 4 standing again and it worked so got those.

Came in at just under £97 per ticket, which whilst expensive, felt somewhat better to see it under £100 compared with the prices shown on Seetickets.

    Thanks.

Indeed there are a few on Fanticks but at the moment there is no single adult weekend ticket.

There are a couple of single tickets on there now, one normal weekend and one settlers. There is also a single student ticket.

That is the Acoustic Stage and it is no chairs beyond the signs. Pushing the boundaries but hardly a biggie.

Yeah I know what stage it is. Just thought it made for a funny photo, I didn't want them escorted off site.

But just goes to show that trying to ban chairs in the Pyramid field etc wouldn't be an easy task.

Watching Pigsx7, the singer twice said 'Hello Donnington, we are Twisted Sister'.

I overheard a girl behind us ask her friend 'I don't think this is Pigs – he keeps saying 'we are Twisted Sister'.

My wife then showed the girl a photo of Dee Snyder, to which the girl replied 'That looks like something I would enjoy seeing'!

Either a few people said the same thing or I was stood close to you as I heard a confused couple saying they thought it was supposed to be Pigsx7. The people around them just started laughing but then confirmed it was them

  6. We were sat by the helter skelter near The Park eating lunch. A woman came and sat about 6 feet away from us directly under the helter skelter and proceeded to piss whilst literally sitting on the floor with her legs in front of her.

She then went back over to her group of friends and was getting them to check whether it was all over her dress at the back. It must've been all over her legs and arse due to the way she did it!

I'm also not sure if she noticed the massive pier directly above her with loads of people stood looking over the edge.

I have to say, been on site since 10:30 today. Its fucking boiling.

Don't shoot me but I would take some cold front fingering and precipitation

Yeah been set up here in East quiet since about 12.

It’s absolutely roasting, but it’s making the cider taste extra refreshing!

  8. Was a fan of Muse for years and saw them a number of times and yes, they did always put on an amazing live show. However, I haven't paid much attention to their last couple of albums though and not heard many of their newer songs.

Watching some of that IOW footage, I couldn't help but wonder if they were actually taking the piss? At one point they played a song called "Behold, The Glove" and Matt Bellamy was playing his part on a massive glove that he was wearing.

Having just looked when running past i can confirm that the signposted entrances to east and quiet are directly opposite each other, either side of pylle road.

Great thanks. Hopefully we can chat to someone there and then turn into whichever bit they let us into.

I’ve had a response from my enquiry which basically says you won’t be let into a different section to what the ticket says. I’m hoping this is just their official response as last time I asked back before the cancelled 2019 festival they said it would be fine. Unless for example the weather has been bad and it’s very muddy and they are trying to control things a bit more.

Think I’ll print the 2019 email off in case there is any issue. May help persuade them if they’re not playing ball.

I always prefer to be on the left of the road (Quiet) but i have dodgy knees and it feels like a small win not having to go all the way to the far reaches of E17 (which we have before).. The actual camping experience isnt any different.

Yeah, I guess it can be beneficial in certain cases.  But as you say, given how much walking generally gets done over the time spent there, it probably isn't a huge difference anyway.

You go through 2 ticket checks... First is just off the A37 and second is where i described (so just make sure you are in convoy after the first check...)

take a look at this excellent aerial photo.. It shows the first check point in Pylle Lane (bottom right with the metal track) you then go round Pylle and turn right at the t-Junction into Pylle Road... and up to the 2nd check (again metal tracks) and that is where they send you one way or another.. Just get the lead driver to ask if the other 2 can follow....

Tuesday evening on the hill is very exciting..!

Amazing, thanks for that. I can see the two points you mean, very helpful.

I assumed you came in from the top by blue gate so had that wrong.

Excited to be there Tuesday night awaiting the next morning!

well first off, you need to go in in convoy as they wont hold spaces if you are not close together (if one is a couple of vans back that should matter) and yes speak to the stewards.. The fields will fill up pretty quickly and if you are not in by Tuesday it may be trickier on the Wednesday.

Quiet is generally closer, but in the general scheme of miles you will cover in the week not really worth concerning yourself..

If you look at the Map... ALL vans approach through the same entrance on Blue Route (between Parking Field 13 and CV Field E14. Quiet stay to the left of the road (E19-E25) and Normal get sent right (E14 to E18)... No turning around needed

If you want Quiet send the ticket holder for Quiet up first to explain....  I think they will likely say go to Normal if you want to be together though...

Depending on how big your vans are and how good your manouvering is you could jiggle about with the space you have once stewards have parked you... for instance you could try and create a 'camp' with one in backwards, one in forwards and one sideways (creating a U shape)... take some wind breakers to close off gaps..

Enjoy! (and try and get their Tuesday.... it is great)

Many thanks. Yes we will be travelling in convoy and on Tuesday. Aiming to get there around midday.

Thanks for the tip, will keep the quiet ticket holder happy as they can then get their chance to get in there, but if that fails we end up together in normal. Which, as you say is what is likely both from a ticketing perspective and from what the festival said when I emailed them.

The two other campervans we are going with did the campervan fields last time and they did what you said and created a camp so would be good to do something similar this time round. This will be my 9th Glasto, but first time in the campervan fields. And also the first time getting there on the Tuesday which I am excited about!

as far as I remember from when I ran past it on Monday, the entrances are pretty close together, possibly opposite. You would probably have to commit by turning off the road into whichever field you wanted. They are unlikely to let you turn around, there is a one way system in place on Blue Route and there will be traffic behind you all they way back.

Ok thanks. Might try and convince the group it is less of a gamble going for normal rather than quiet then. Really don't fancy having to go all the way round the one way system joining the queue again.

Unless anyone has had anything similar and they haven't been fussed either way.

Plus given they fill up the fields in a random order, it doesn't necessarily mean we will be closer trying quiet.

  14. We have a group of 3 campervans going, but ended up with 2 east normal and 1 east quiet.

I contacted the festival who said it shouldn't be an issue to all go together, but probably in east normal rather than quiet, but it would be at the discretion of the stewards.

The quiet ticketholder is keen to try and get us all into quiet (not sure why, just assuming it will be a bit closer I think), whereas I am keen to just head to normal to give us more chance of getting in together.

Are the entrances to the two fields near each other? I note it says turn right for quiet and left for normal. Would it be a case of we could pull up to the quiet entrance and if the answer was no just continue to normal or would it be a massive issue having to try and turn around etc?
