Franz Ferdinand subbing Arctic Monkeys would be great. Unlikely but still great.

Been 8 times and camped on 5 of those occasions. Never seen any trouble in the campsite and anything in the arena is as minor as you will get, which can only be expected at a large scale event. In general the atmosphere and people at T are really friendly and happy to help each other etc.
-
They won't top last year, so I don't really care if they get announced or not. I'd likely go out of my way to try and avoid it actually.
-
Travis is the type of act that should appear every year, no matter what. Fingers crossed they get added.
-
No problem at all for any age. There's been an increasing number of younger people 18-21 in the last 5 years but you still won't feel out of place.
If anything you will make new pals that refer to you as "Auld Yin" or "Big Man" all weekend. Sorted!

timberlake at a festival is questionable. id take calvin harris over him even tho hes shite.
-
Genuinely only a handful of acts that I would bother going to see. Will likely be Slam Tent for the majority of the weekend… no complaints there!
-
Genuine surprise that the lineup is pretty much exclusively Radio 1 playlist shite.
Pixies, Franz Ferdinand and a few others are more appealing but really this sums up how much the festival has went downhill.
-
Don't get the point of the first part of this. You suggesting he's not a big international name?
-
BIG MASSIVE INTERNATIONAL HEADLINERS ON SATURDAY AKA CALVIN HARRIS WHO PLAYS EVERY YEAR OHHHHH GOSH
-
heavy shite haha
-
Obviously there are alternatives that we haven't thought about. Whether those alternatives will do the business that Eminem would likely do is another matter.
-
So glad that Kings of Leon are 100% not playing.
Are there any alternatives to Eminem headlining? Would love a surprise.

Diplo is one of the most respected DJs out there
-
Just found out that my mum and dad are co-headlining the Saturday night. FUCKING RIDDY!
-
So OutKast ruled out, all the signs pointing to an "EDM" double on the Saturday. Hopefully the other stages provide good alternatives.
-
Most electronic acts usually come with a big light show so big DJs wouldn't be happy playing in daylight. As for Outkast I don't see why they'd "require" darkness either.
-
Why do Outkast require darkness for their set though?
-
ROSES REALLY SMELL LIKE POO-OO-OOO, YEAH
I think Outkast being the second last act on the Main Stage on the Saturday, with this co-headliner thing, is definitely realistic. They are big enough for that when you consider the acts that have played second from top at T in the past.
-
Said the lineup was dreadful but had an absolutely brilliant weekend. Probably the most fun I've had at T.
The Afterburner was an amazing addition to the festival (although probably would lose its edge if it was bucketing down).
Friday: Rudimental > Jake Bugg > Jackmaster & Joy Orbison > Kraftwerk
Saturday: Maya Jane Coles > Claude Von Stroke > Miles Kane > Travis > Slam > Richie Hawtin
Sunday: Earth, Wind and Fire > Ocean Colour Scene > Disclosure > Stereophonics > Hot Natured
Travis would have been better placed headlining the NME stage on Saturday instead of Beady Eye.

Last year's Friday Slam Tent only had two acts if I remember correctly - Slam and Sven Vath. Does anyone know if it's likely that Phoenix will clash with Jackmaster & Joy O?
I'm hoping that Green Velvet gets a mammoth set ie 3 hours meaning I can see Jackmaster & Joy O then jump to Tut's for Phoenix > Kraftwerk.

Comparing the venues they play on their own tours doesn't really apply to a festival, especially T. Kraftwerk played to a King Tut's tent that was probably 1/4 full at best, yet they would play/sell out bigger venues when doing stand alone shows.
