The narrative on the website for Frank Turner has
QuoteThe amazing Frank Turner is back in the fields with us! He is our most requested artist and we’re thrilled to have Million Dead singer turned folk troubadour Frank Turner headlining our Saturday night!
Yet he is not shown on the stage splits page, but is showing on the line up pages before Tinie - Co-Headline maybe?

the order on the website for the main stage is FF, phonics, manics then tinie which would represent Thursday to sunday in the right order
if we apply the same logic to the calling out stage the we'd have The Coral Friday, Loyle Carner Saturday and The Hunna sunday
I'll do some proper digging though and try get it all confirmed
I'm confused by this as I thought Frank Turner was headlining Saturday night?

If you are going alone get yourselves on the Official forums and start chatting in the Camp Loner thread - its basically setup for people who are going alone and an area where people alone camp together and make new friends etc
-
Anyone aware of any strong rumours for the next announcement?
-
I never thought I would say this, but I would quite like to see a few more pop type acts on there. Seems to be a lot in for me from my youth (phonics / manics etc) but not a lot for the kids to enjoy right now.

Probably don't suit the crowd at Kendal as a little on the heavy side, but Florence Black from Wales are superb live
-
Yeah, I assumed that Frank was the Thursday. Franz Ferdinand have more of a mass appeal I would imagine so would have been a better weekend headliner.
A line up like that deserve another scorcher from the weather- we can't get one 2 years in a row though
-
In my humble opinion, that is the best Kendal line up I can remember

Just to echo something that has already been said the crowd for Eminem at Leeds was also huge (or at least as huge as Leeds gets) but it was also the most unpleasant crowd I have ever experienced at a festival - so many idiots on day tickets that Sunday.
-
I have been doing festivals for 12 years now and this was my first time at KC. This is the first time I have seen that kind of presence at a festival and I welcome it. So many times I have seen young people dangerously off their faces and heard of many deaths through drugs at festivals I have attended.
This was the first time taking my children (9 & 5) to a festival and at no point were they made to feel intimidated or having to watch stupidly drunk/drugged up people.
Lets bear in mind that this is marked as a family festival and should be treat the correct way.

Sounds partially positive - keep us posted if you can!

Cant help but think that Festiweather are being overly generous there. Everywhere else shows rain, including 11mm of the stuff on Thursday.

I don't think Kendal do day tickets. Its all weekend only.

The accuweather forecast is pretty nasty for next week right now

A lot of questions floating around about facilities in Deer Lodge/ Pods / Tipis etc so thought worth creating a thread for them.
One from me - the bunk pads mention bringing your own bedding. Are mini mattresses or anything provided on them or do you suggested camping mats?
-
As if by magic, my Deer Lodge eticket has just come through in the last 10 mins.

Hi has anyone in the deer lodge been sent any info I about it? We were sent a pdf info sheet last year. We have a lotus tent this year though so maybe it's only the pod pad customers who get this? How do you know hot showers are not available this year in the deer lodge?
We have booked a bunked and have received the parking sign and I had an email that said we would be sent details closer to the time on entry etc that we will need to print.

Ticket question from me. We are still undecided on Thursday tickets and not likely to know if we can do the Thursday until the start of the week of the festival.
Any idea what happens (if even possible) if we buy last minute Thursday tickets? Would it be an e-ticket?
Definitely buying Thursday tickets now woohoo!

Not sure how big they are, as not really part of the scene of music I would normally listen to, but really looking forward to seeing Band of Skulls. Been listening to them for a few weeks and they have some really catchy numbers.

After doing download a few weeks ago I really really can't take ridiculous amounts of mud again. Particularly when we are bringing the kids this year.
If it is anything like it was at Download I fully expect to be home and showered by Saturday morning - kids won't be able to cope in that kind of condition.
-
Looks like there are quite a few shared acts there already. I'd be happy if they also shared Neck Deep and Creeper, although can't see it happening.
-
Decision made, thanks guys!

Still considering this, before they all sell out.
Does anyone know if the parking for Deer Lodge is in the main parking or the closer parking spaces. I bit concerned about the kids having to walk miles to get to it to get set up. Also, is Deer lodge one of the sites nearest the arena?
2017 Any help or advice needed ?

Never did venture to the village from Deer lodge last year - what is there? Assuming that it is a smaller version of the things seen at Leeds /Download villages?
Is there somewhere there to buy milk?
