Someone on the happy campers facebook page says theres rumours of a Joanna Newsome Sat takeover?
seems... unlikely to me but you never know

I see Explosions In The Sky are touring / fest shows in the summer . A possibility - not sure they would be a Woods headliner but maybe GS, or BT.

Best kept secret festival is beautiful but the line up is a bit poor this year
I’ll second that. I went to BKS 2019 and loved it. Fantastic site with some decent stages and dance areas , wonderfully organised , friendly , good food too.

What chance is there of getting 2 tickets for this now?
There were 2 separate Adult tickets on Fanticks earlier . I’d say a good chance as festival gets closer , but you have to jump on them quickly.

I honestly think GM should snap up Royal Blood for a headline set in Far Out or sub on Mountain.
Dear god please no 😂

God that would be so uninspiring wouldn't it?
Agree. I watched him at Best Kept Secret in 2019 - just didn’t get it what the fuss was about 🤷♀️ Totally forgettable .

I doubt it will be hard to score a resale ticket with this lineup
Well I’d say across social media response has been in the main very positive. Can’t see a deluge of resell tickets myself.
Always somebody won’t be happy but that’s the nature of the beast . And of course always a number of resells as people circumstances change.

Quite happy with that - love Spiritualized and haven't seen them for a while. Love Goat, and plenty lower down to be happy with - and as usual a dig through the unknowns will surface something interesting!
I saw Spiritualized a fair bit in the early / mid 90s .....then not again until 2018 when on a whim I travelled to Madrid to see them ! Blew my head off ! Since then seen them another 4 times. Always amazing - if I have one criticism its that he insists on playing the latest album in its entirety ... leaving less time for older gems. So many older tracks that I would love to hear him belt out 😊

I had to resell last year as we couldn't make it and Fanticks was complete rubbish.
Most people just used Twickets as the process for fanticks was far too slow, I'd keep an eye on both, but Twickets had more listed but they also sold really, really quick
Interesting . Have heard iffy things about Fanticks but also told GM were recommending ??
I used Twickets to buy for GM in 2019 - all good eventually but spent days just missing out as they were snapped up almost instantly.

really, really good lineup!
is there an official channel to get your hands on second hand tickets?
I believe Fanticks is the recommended reseller for GM this year.
I saw some listed there a couple weeks ago

I take it you weren’t at the Garden stage last EOTR on the Friday eve then
Headline wise …,Garden Stage EOTR doesn’t equal Mountain Stage status imo.
I would be very surprised either of those were given toppermost of the poppermost billing.

First Aid Kit just announced big show in Dublin on Monday 21st August.
Seeing they are in London the weekend before ….It’s not hard to join the dots 🙂

I’m seeing First Aid Kit tomorrow night …. But still want them to headline Green Man soooo much 😍

It’s Fanticks, according to their replies to comments on Instagram
Thanks.
They have pretty lousy ratings on Trustpilot compared to Twickets but if that’s the one they are using ….ok

Which site is the recommended one for GM resales ?
Is it still Twickets ? -
First Aid Kit just announced big date Crystal Palace Bowl on August 12th.
Not sure if this makes a GM appearance more , or less likely. 🤨
Im trying to be positive and thinking more 🙏

I'm disappointed tbh, but then I've been disappointed with first announcements before and gone on to have a cracking festival. Lots to explore on the undercard. Glad I got a Canela Party ticket though (thanks Guy Incognito for bringing that to my attention). A couple of decent additions would be welcome, some sunshine, good beer and a clean bog. That'll do me. Secretly hoping Green Man doesn't come up with a great lineup now though.
Having grabbed some Green Man tickets in a moment of madness 😁 I’m hopeful it’s a humdinger.
I’ve done EOTR 2009 to 2019 …. I think I’m happy having a break from it if the lineup doesn’t hit the spot. And right now it doesn’t tbh. -

oh yeah as an actual experience it can get in the bin, hence why im not there this year or have any plans to reattend
I had been before in 2014 and it had none of the issues. Was genuinely shocked how flaky the organisation was this time.. I think they lost control of the numbers - so many tickets rolled over from previous years, then the addition of 2nd weekend, day tickets etc . They also said the pandemic had impacted massively on staffing levels , and general infrastructure stuff.
Hoping they get it together again going forward as would love to attend again . Barcelona + festival is damn near perfect for me 🤩

There isn't one festival Ive seen thats really wowed me. Since 2019. Dunno if its a post covid bands trying to make their money back thing and just doing their own gigs.
Isn’t the summer festival circuit considered the money earner for bands ?

That's a shame, both Primavera 22 and Glastonbury 22 wowed me. And to be honest, EOTR 2021 whilst viewed as weak to some I really loved, saw some stuff I'll likely never see again, like Jonny Greenwood doing scores, Damon Albarn solo, and saw loads of smaller acts I've grown to love like Anna B Savage and caroline.
Primavera was incredible last year 🙌 Only marred by the overcrowding and general chaos - particularly Day 1 …..the bars were often in meltdown and the lack of water on site was inexcusable and frankly dangerous in the Barcelona heat.

Best kept secret is supposed to be pretty great, usually has fantastic lineup too
I went to BKS in 2019 - fantastic festival. Beautiful site , camping in the trees by the lake. Very well organised site, clean . I really couldn’t fault it. And yes the lineup usually solid.
Just watch out for the poisonous caterpillars - seriously !😁
Green Man 2024

Agree with others ….weak headliners this year.
I really don’t get the fuss with Big Thief . Saw them in small venue around the time of Masterpiece , might have been first UK dates . Guitarist Buck Meeks was the highlight but I really struggled with the singers over emoting . We get it, you are a sensitive soul. It just got embarrassing tbh. I had to walk away watching them at a festival a few years ago for the same reason. Was it GM ? Can’t remember.
All my opinion of course, as plenty of folk seem to like them. Just don’t see them as an exciting headline act myself.
