  1. Me and my wife found a ticket on the way in on Wednesday on the walk down to the festival. It wasn't gate A but a wee backward road that you had to walk past loads of houses to get to. But I seen this ticket on the ground half way down the road and it belonged to some Ed guy. We thought about handing it it over to security, but decided to continue walking and see if we could find Ed on the way. We thought he would most likely be at the gates frantically searching everything. Sure enough when we got there, the same guy in the photo was ripping everything from his bag, looking as if he was going to cry. He was very relieved when he seen what we had brought. Over joyed would describe it better.

  2. I nearly smacked someone in the queue to get in. Im walking slowly towards the gate and every 30seconds this f**ker behind me kicks my f**king trolley.

After a while I turn round ready to give him a toungelashing to find its this guy gently kicking my crate of brothers back on the trolley as it kept slipping off. Needless to say i felt a bit of a dick.

If it had slipped off my whole trolley would have shed its load right in the middle of the path with thousands behidn me. I gave him a cider from my backpack for it and then duly helped him through the mud when his wheels got jammed a few hundred yards later.

  3. I got my usual 'bloody hell Lucy, why do you bring so much stuff with you?' banter on arrival at CT.

The casual digs soon ended when I was handing out spare blankets for the cold CT campers, dry clothes to those soaked through, had a washing line set up in my tent to dry stuff on and space blankets to stop the leaking in the tents.

Note to all the people who had trouble getting through the mud...next time, bring or fashion walking sticks. I brought 2 with me, one broke (but I then fixed it). Never fell over once and was able to yoink myself out any sticky patches. Gazebo poles are very useful for this purpose.

  4. I took my dslr and compact as I really wanted to take magic pics like the ones on this thread. But arrived Wed, only for everything to be soaked and dslr ended up in lockups for the whole time. Compact a bit lousy so am now on the look out for a decent prosumer compact (like Lumix LX5) as I can't be arsed anymore lugging a heaving camera around with me.

All a learning curve for 2013!!!!

My dslr and lenses were in a back bag the whole time. Only taken out when I wanted photos. Yeh they got wet, muddy and foggy. but nothing a wet wipe and a tea towel and a bit of TLC couldnt fix in the evenings in the tent.

  5. Biggest disappointment of my entire Glasto career. I am a HUGE S&G fan and I knew he would focus on solo stuff. I was happy for him to do that so long as he cracked out 1/2/3 tunes. I would have been happy with 1 of the following. Ecstatic with 2! Sounds of silence, kathys song, homeward bound, mrs robinson, america, the boxer.

Gutted. So disappointed ive sold my ticket to his solo show as well.

An experimental shot I did during U2 using their stage lightning and effects. Opened the lens for 1 second with a twist of the camera while having real low ISO so other stuff didnt creep in. Notice near the top left corner the pyramid light is still visible.

The lots of blue streaks on the left are stage lights. The 3 square shaped trails on the right are the big screens. The white/yellow single lines are flares.
