I don't really want to open a big flags debate but watching the footage back two types of flag really pxxxed me off. Firstly football flags- why bother? Yes you support a team get over it its Glastonbury not Wembley. Nearly every gig had a bloody Everton flag near the front.
Secondly flags with photos of (I presume) the owners on. Ridiculously self-indulgent.

the bag thing is a cracking idea! Really top notch. Saw someone take a wheelie bin in this year, could do the same next with someone and a crate on his head...
The paragliding incident seems fairly routine.

i also clocked all of them:
gold/purple - standard one.
yellow - hospitality
yellow + another wristband or a laminate label - performer
orange - worker
white/silver - worker to worker's camp.

Taking a coach with ticket that gets there at like 2 in the afternoon. Are the campsites pretty much totally full by then? Only been to glasto, is it similar in the respect taht they fill up by the weds...
Got a four man tent so don't want to not be able to find a pitch.

2 bands that have already played glasto and one woman returning:
Florence - not enough material, can't be her
Kylie - Possibly, new material out at the moment, and has a really big back catalougue.
Lady Gaga - same as florence in a way, but defo is capable of headlining with her putting on a massive show and having played before and headlining other festivals.
On the bands front:
U2 - won't, thye will feel that it's just not right.
Coldplay - not too sure about them. Have the credentials but a band that is touted most years to headline and don't really.
Radiohead - hmmm, headlined reading last year, wouldn't make sense for them to headline as no new stuff out i don't think
Stumped at which two bands it could be to be honest...
Beach boys was mentioned and that could be a possibility, and one other that will be more contemporary.

Had someone else's ticket. Looked a bit like him mind, but was cacking it. Went in, looked at ticket then back at me, then UV, but went through the motions really, small picture and all. I went at peak time having walked/qued for near on 2 hours to get there from E10 on weds from 1.30-3.30, i was sweaty and horrible, there were hundred behind me and the others, if she kicked up a fuss, it would have just caused furore amongst the others behind probably, and eaten up alot of time 'cos i would have kicked up a bit of a fuss about it.
I mean peak time they are just trying to get through it all, can't take much time over it. Everyone just wanted to get through and if they had got stopped a riot probs would have ensued cos everyone was so tetchey having qued and walked for such a long time.
Although, defo not gonna go through that again.

was sick. Shame about some stupid bint in front of me who got pissed when my mate touched her. 'it's alright to jump but when you jump into me that's when i get angry' - for f**k sake, if someone knocks into you from behind what are you meant to do, stand your f**king ground. Your at the front nearly for faithless, a dance act. f**k she pissed me off! Apart from that, loved the set. Massive fan. Would have loved it to have been at night though or in a tent, woulda made a cracking atmosphere.

butt scratcher is from family guy And we didn't realise the alan thing and steve thing but went along with it. Then we googled it in chill and charge on thursday and found it out! Carried on with it all weekend!

well i've had it checked, they looked at the ticket then looked at my face, who knows if they would of cared if it wasn't me on the ticket.
but if I was at the bar and the people behind the bar didn't believe that it was my face on the id I might try and bribe them, unless they threatened to call the rozzers, that would straighten me right out.

how many of you got properly checked for tickets last year? I remember I didn't really get checked in that much detail, just wondering how many of you did? This is following on from the other ID ticket check thread which got ruined by people talking about alcohol and fake id's. Cheers.
