Thanks all,
Big tent it is and one happy girlfriend, watch those tent pegs, dont go barefoot.

Hi first time at EOTR and I have a choice of small three person tent or family size big tent, which is my girlfriends preference. We are planning to arrive when the campsites open, in terms of campsite space, is there a fair amount of room for a biggish tent or are the tents squashed together Glastonbury style.
Have sympathy for my girlfriend's tent preference, at Glastonbury this year she got a tent peg through her foot as soon as we put up the smaller tent so we got to enjoy about ten minutes of Glastonbury. She is determined to enjoy a festival this year and would prefer to do it in a bigger tent and the other one is obviously hexed.

Oh shit...... this could be tricky, ticketless always thought I would just decide not to go one year wish they would just go back to selling them from the CND shop in Holloway or did I imagine they use to do that.

Iknow someone who is still trying to get a ticket, male 40 in london

Seen the Bunntmen a few times over the years and they are always good but somehow they never quite go beyond that. I saw them playing playing ocean rain at the Albert Hall this year and it completely blew me away... as long as they don't clash with Neil Young

Thanks for all the kind suggestions and encouragement,I'll be very happy to buy you all a drink at the festival I've been away for a while so couldn't reply but the good news is I now have a ticket... the power of letter writing and pleading your case.
Was seriously thinking of volunteering to work there but I really want to just hang out and have no responsibilities for a few days.

What a bummer :-(
I'd just get EVERYTHING organised to get your ticket in April. Or apply to work there somehow.....or enter every competition going.

Anyone got any useful suggestions. I've just got back from a long tip to Mexico and have realised I've missed the payment date - I was going on my own this year so I had no friends to remind me to pay and seetickets reminder went into my spam folder. Of course I phoned See Tickets once I realised who were (prehaps understandably) completely unhelpful, just told me I was going to get my money back.
I've been going every year since 1984, so its my 25 anniversity, not sure how many glastonbury's that would be, but unless there's anything I can do I don't fancy my chances in the ticket lottery in April.

Phew,
Missing my first Glastonbury since 1984, I just snuck on here to check the weather thread, old habits and all that. Gutted really, but year by year I think it is losing a little of its soul, as the crowd it attracts seems to have fundamentally changed.
But saying that, there are still enough of the good folks there and I would do anything to go. Anyway, this week I'm going to see the Fat white family and The Who as compensation.
