My weekend.

Ooh what a weekend. Thursday was our Xmas do, cant recall all that much of it, some I do remember I get little pangs of did I act inappropriately. I don't think I did but hell, until I meet up with people who were there I wont know. Friday I had to make it back from Telford's international hotel to Stafford and thought I was going to be sick every inch of the way, I wasn't but as soon as I got home it was to bed. Should really be starting on the purchase of little ern's christmas presents soon, by now I am usually done and dusted and punching the air in delight that I have again surpassed myself and she is getting something totally unique, in the past she has had artwork, signed first editions, extremely rare records. ah the joys of work.

Its days like today that I wish there was a button that said Neil, ban me for 24 hours. I was off on Friday and have come back to a mountain of work, stupid f**king managers not approving anything because clearly they have better f**king things interrupting their day, whereas I have 4 f**king days to leave my work in a reasonable state prior to starting a new f**king job. another exciting weekend.

I ventured out on Friday, to a local pub with a mate and his wife, and what started out as a quiet drink turned into sambuca and no memory of getting home. Saturday was recovering and although it was slow and long, it was a recovery. We have a man coming today to sand and varnish the floor, yesterday we had to get the sofa out of the living room and it took 2 hours, a spanner and the removal of the arms, excessive cursing and damning DFS to the heavens. I am touched by your presence ears.

For the past few weeks I have been afforded the relative luxury of an office, well for the next two weeks at least, until I move to the new job. Hence my upped presence on efestivals, its been nice not worrying who is looking over your shoulder and having to quickly alt-tab to a spreadsheet (always keep a spreadsheet handy).

Pixies doc.

Started watching the pixies documentary today, loudquietloud, caught the first half on the bus on my psp. I see Sshh has been confirmed for August bank holiday weekend, well according to their website it has. Life online is an odd beast, I have had an internet connection since around 96, 28k modem and it moved like a wounded dog, over the years I have made acquaintances, some friends and some very good friends. I have met heroes due to the internet and discovered more music than I could imagine. I could do with a few more hours in the day today. Time off.

Every couple of years or so I feel the need to get off line for a while, normally centres around me feeling that I have been spending too much time on my PC or work creeps up and I need to concentrate that aspect of my life. Good night watching Hips Likw cinderella, Essex was out and he was large and in charge, turns out he was at Uni with the bassist Larry.
