Whitwell Festival of Music 2017


Whitwell Festival of Music is a small village festival, now in its 9th year, happening in and around the Community Centre, Whitwell which is in north Derbyshire.

The 2017 festival will take place from Friday 8th until Sunday 10th September.

Line-up

The acts announced so far are:

Friday:
Indoor stage: Easydread, Headsticks, Verbal Warning, Scribble Victory

Saturday:
Main Stage: Oliver Dawson Saxon, Steel City Rhythm, Slade Uk, London Calling, The Vegas Six, Brad Dear, Bleeding Hearts, Tom Mccartney, Attila The Stockbroker
Indoor Stage: Karl Phillips & The Rejects, The Suitcase Dwellers, Ar Faoued, Jake Martin, Daniel Whitehouse, The Silk Road, Morris & Watson
Spoken Word Stage: Attila The Stockbroker, Sophie Sparham

Sunday:
Indoor Stage: Treebeard, Yakobo, Putin & The Dolphin, Phil Doleman & Ian Emmerson, Break A Leg!

The festival offers 3 stages indoor and outdoor (2 music plus spoken word stage), real ales and ciders, caterers, craft stalls, workshops.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £27.50, a youth weekend ticket are priced at £15, an adult Saturday only ticket is priced at £16, a youth Saturday only ticket is priced at £8. Weekend camping (limited availability) is priced at £12 - £16 per unit depending on size. There will only be 250 weekend tickets available. The main day (Saturday) has a capacity of 900.

Camping

Camping is available on a basic site 2 minutes walk from the main festival.

The festival is organised and run by volunteers, and proceeds from ticket sales are donated to local community groups.

The festival also offers real ales, caterers, craft stalls, workshops and open mic opportunities.
