Whitwell Festival of Music is a small village festival, now in its 6th year, happening in and around the Community Centre, Whitwell which is in north Derbyshire. The 2014 festival will take place from Friday 5th until Sunday 7th September 2014.

Line-up

The festival offers 2 stages, indoor and outdoor. The full line-up is Doctor and the Medics, Ferocious Dog, James Warner Prophecies, Dirt Box Disco, The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican, I Set The Sea On Fire, The Natterjacks, The Sons of El Roacho, Offenders, N'Ukes, The Orphans, Saint Jimmy, Black Thorn, Pat Cunningham, Swamp Dog, The Fallen, Dukes of Pork, Big Tent and the Gypsy Lantern, Sam Jones, DH Lawrence and the Vaudeville Skiffle Show, Blackfish, Corinna Jane, and Lippy Kid.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £20, a youth weekend ticket are priced at £10, an adult Saturday only ticket is priced at £10, a youth Saturday only ticket is priced at £5. Weekend camping (limited availability) is priced at £10 - £15 per unit depending on size. There will only be 250 weekend tickets available. The main day (Saturday) has a capacity of 800.

Camping

Camping is available on a basic site 2 minutes walk from the main festival.

The festival is organised and run by volunteers, and proceeds from ticket sales are donated to local community groups.

The festival also offers real ales, caterers, craft stalls, workshops and open mic opportunities.
