Whitby Folk Week 2009


Whitby Folk Week is a long-standing celebration of the traditional music, dance and song of the British Isles has taken on the trappings of a tradition in its own right. With over 600 events covering workshops, concerts, singarounds, dances, sessions, street entertainment and the extensive ‘fringe’ events that blossom spontaneously.

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2009.

Early bird ticket prices before 1st May are £122 for a full adult season ticket. Senior/Student tickets are priced at £91, and junior tickets are priced at £61. Ticket prices from 1st May until 1st August are £124 for a full adult season ticket. Senior/Student tickets are priced at £93, and junior tickets are priced at £62. After 1st August they will be £128 for adults, £96 for seniors/students, and £64 for juniors. Camping (with Season Ticket) is £32 for adults, £24 for seniors/students, and £16 for juniors.

Day tickets are priced at £28 for adults, £21 for concessions and £14 for juniors, for all other days except Saturday/Sunday 16 & 17 Aug which are priced at £42 for adults, £32 seniors/students, and £21 juniors.
