Whitby Folk Week is a long-standing celebration of the traditional music, dance and song of the British Isles has taken on the trappings of a tradition in its own right. With over 600 events covering workshops, concerts, singarounds, dances, sessions, street entertainment and the extensive ‘fringe’ events that blossom spontaneously.

Dance Teams for the week include Black Swan, Boggarts Breakfast, Britannia Coco-nut Dancers, Camden Clog, Dukes Dandy Clog Dancers, Hammersmith Morris Men, Hexham Morris Men, Hexhamshire Lasses, Mabel Gubbins, Persephone North West Morris, P.R.A.T.S., Rockhopper Morris, and Southport Sword.

Storytellers include Annamation, Dave Arthur, Peter Chand, Johnny Cocking, Amy Douglas, Bob Pegg, Tim Ralphs, Stanley Robinson, Mike Rust, Diane Taylor, Taffy Thomas, and the Winners of Young Storyteller of the Year.

Ticket prices from 1st May until 1st August are £124 for a full adult season ticket. Senior/Student tickets are priced at £93, and junior tickets are priced at £62. After 1st August they will be £128 for adults, £96 for seniors/students, and £64 for juniors. Camping (with Season Ticket) is £32 for adults, £24 for seniors/students, and £16 for juniors.

Day tickets are priced at £28 for adults, £21 for concessions and £14 for juniors, for all other days except Saturday/Sunday 16 & 17 Aug which are priced at £42 for adults, £32 seniors/students, and £21 juniors.
