Vamos Festival returns from Saturday 4th June to Sunday 10th July 2011 with events across the North East celebrating the culture and vibrancy of Latin and Lusophone (Portuguese speaking) cultures.
The days also include live contemporary and traditional Latin music, vibrant visual art exhibitions, authentic Latin cuisine and outdoor picnics, enlightening talks and thought provoking discussions.

The festival will host exciting events across Newcastle, Gateshead, Middlesbrough and North Tyneside including the first ever Tyne Carnival, Mexican Wrestling with Lucha Future, Revolution on Print exhibition, a Peña Flamenca, a special Bumbumbox party with DJ Matias Aguayo, a film season at Star & Shadow cinema, the return of the Paladares restaurants plus much more.The days also include live contemporary and traditional Latin music, vibrant visual art exhibitions, authentic Latin cuisine and outdoor picnics, enlightening talks and thought provoking discussions.
