Sidmouth Fringe Festival 2016

The Fringe Sessions are a series of intimate evening performances held over 5 nights at 'McBuzz's Barn' (Thorn Park Golf Clubhouse) in the village of Salcombe Regis a couple of miles along the coast from Sidmouth which runs alongside (but independent of) the long-established Sidmouth Folk Festival.

Entry is FREE to 'all music lovers' but donations are encouraged which is shared equally amongst the artists.

The line-up is a mix of the very best young and emerging talent from across the UK along with some established local favourites and occasional international touring bands from a wide spectrum of music genres.

More info

Held in some 30 acres of parkland and centred around McBuzz's Barn; a traditional oak-framed building extending into a large marquee. The event is still small it has gained in popularity in recent years with both artist's and audiences who enjoy the friendly atmosphere and laid-back 'local vibe'. The event centres around a handsome oak-framed barn and adjoining marquee. There is live multi-camera filming with a big screen, haybale seating and firepit.

There are locally-brewed beers and local cider served from McBuzz's Bar and a hot food stall serving vege and vegan options.

The event coincides with the long established Sidmouth Folk Festival just down the hill, it is completely independent and aims to complement the traditionally-focused folk music and dance performances held down in the town.

Camping

The venue is adjacent to the 'alternative' festival campsite - so there is cheap camping and showers available right next door (£10 per tent/ per night). Campervans and caravans welcome.

Shuttle bus

A regular shuttle bus runs from Thorn Park into Sidmouth with a late night service. So you can leave your car at Thorn Park, spend the day in the town at the Sidmouth Folk Festival and get the bus back for the Fringe evening events!
