The Scotcampus Freshers' Festival will take place on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd October, and returns to Glasgow's George Square.

For the first time 2009 sees the Rock Ness music festival hosting its own Arena. Augmenting the main hub and also running across the two days is the Relentless Energy Drink Music Tent.

There acts confirmed for 2009 include Annie Stevenson, Ardent John, Bronto Skylift, Epic 26, Exile Parade, Isa & The filthy Tongues, Little Eskimos, Lost In Audio, Must Be Something, My Cousin I Bid You Farewell, Nevada Base, Nixa, Pooch, Sinister Flynn, Suspire, Tango In The Attic, The Black Hang Gang, and The Meat Men.

As well as music, the festival offers students and teenagers crucial advice, exhibitors, entertainment and competitions. Scotcampus Freshers' Festival 2009 will present everything from live music showcases, DJ sets from the hottest names, product samplings, model talent searches, fashion flashes, beauty treats, goody bags, after parties, and health and lifestyle advice, plus lots more.

This event isn't just for freshers, but for those in Scotland already studying, and those leaving school next year and is expecting to attract young people from all over Scotland, the UK and elsewhere.

Over eighty big names have signed up to exhibit, entice and educate in the festival's Main Arena including a raft of cool lifestyle brands such as Urban Outfitters, Dominos, YO! Sushi, The Model Team, Blackberry and Matalan.

This event is a 16+ only event. The festival runs from 10am until 6pm on both days. This is a non camping event.
