Scarborough Jazz Festival 2008


The festival takes place at the Spa Complex, situated right on the sea front with wonderful views of the Bay. The events start on Friday night at 2.15pm running until around 11.45pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm-5.15pm, then from 7.15pm-11.45pm. All of Friday afternoon's events are free.

Artists confirmed so far include:
Friday 26th September - Alcyona Mick Quintet, Free Spirits, Tribute to Atlantic Jazz, and topping the night The BBC Big Band with Clare Teal.
Saturday 27th September - Julie Edwards & Kevin Dearden Quintet, Jamil Sheriff Octet, Guy Barker Jazz Orchestra - The Amadeus Project, BBC Radio 3's 'Jazz Line' Up Live from the Festival, (Fringe Event) EASY Jazz Orchestra, Curios: Tom Crawley Trio, Guy Barker Jazz Orchestra - Sound in Black and White, Courtney Pine: A Tribute to Sidney Bechet.
Sunday 28th September - Gareth Roberts Quintet, Tango Siempre, Empirical, Fringe Rob Lavers Quartet, Alan Barnes' Ellingtonians, and Claire Martin & Gareth Williams Trio.

Tickets are priced at £51.50 in advance for a weekend ticket or £61.50 on the door. All day tickets are priced at £26 in advance or £30.50 on the door; evening tickets are £22.50; and afternoon only tickets £18. To buy tickets, click here
