Scarborough Jazz Festival 2004


The festival starts on Friday night at 7pm running until around 11.45pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm-5.15pm, then from 7.15pm-11.45pm. The main events take place at the Spa Complex, situated right on the sea front with wonderful views of the Bay.

Artists confirmed so far include: Alan Plater featuring 'Songs for Unsung Heroes' with the Alan Barnes All Stars and Liz Fletcher; Martin Taylor; Dennis 'Bad Bones' Rollins; Gwyn and Will; Gerard Presencer; Tim Richards' 'Great Spirit'; Anita Wardell; Zappatistas; Chaz Jankel; Geoff Mason Quartet with Roland Lacy; Jamil Sheriff Octet; the Bourbon Tequila Salsa Jazz Band and dancers; and the Easy Band.
There will also be artists performing at fringe events during the week preceeding the festival weekend.

As Scarborough is a popular tourist resort, it's wise to book accomodation well in advance.
