Priddy Folk Festival 2013


With 2 concerts, a ceilidh and a Late Nite Bop on Friday, 4 concerts, a ceilidh and a Late Nite Bop on Saturday and 2 more concerts and a ceilidh on Sunday, this claims to be the friendliest folk festival in England, held at the beautiful village of Priddy, high on the magnificent Mendip Hills in sunny Somerset.

The 22nd edition of the festival takes place from Friday 12th until Sunday 14th July 2013.

Line-up

Tom McConville Band, Treacherous Orchestra, Kris Drever & Éamonn Coyne, Faustus, The Leon Hunt n-Tet, Belshazzar's Feast ceilidh with caller Phil Bassindale, Three Cane Whale, Hoover The Dog, Ross Ainslie & Jarlath Henderson, Tyde, Kevin Brown Duo, Jennifer Crook, Beth Porter & Richard Selby, De Fuego, Afro Ceilidh Allstars, Ross Coupar & Tom Oakes, Paul & David Garner, Nuala Honan, Tatterdemalion, Firepit Collective, Celtech, Crioch Quartet, Flats & Sharps, More Like Trees, Helena, ZZ Birmingham, Dick Stephens, and Corncrow.

Plus guests for the Dance festival include Bristol Morris Men, Outside Capering Crew, Val Knight - Jig Doll demonstration and workshop, French dance - Mominettes and Ruth Farnell, Bristol Rapper, Kemysk Cornish Dancers, Halsway Manor Youth dance project, Family ceilidh with Vicky Cooper, and more.

Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. An adult weekend ticket is priced at £72. A youth 11-16 years with camping ticket is priced at £36. Entry is free for children aged under 11 but they require a ticket. A weekend without camping ticket for adults is priced at £61. A youth 11-16 years ticket without camping is priced at £31.50. To buy tickets now, click here.

Other entertainment

In addition there will be many smaller one hour concerts/meet the artist type events, as well as the usual Dance Festival with Morris, Maypole, Appalachian and more, Children's Festival offering Juggling, story telling, puppets, face painting and more, Sessions in the two pubs, singarounds and so on. There will be a Club Tent and open mic Sessions and Craft Fayre and Workshops with wood-turning, pottery, weaving, and a carefully selected mix of traders.

The festival will offer a varied and interesting range of food, real ales & scrumpy, on-site camping, large parking field.

Camping

There's a campsite adjacent to the village at a small extra charge for weekend ticket holders or individual concert ticket holders only.
