Lewisham People's Day 2011


Lewisham People's Day, is south east London's biggest and longest running FREE community festival, and this year is it's 27th year. The event happens on Saturday 9th July from noon until 8pm in Mountsfield Park, in Catford, London.

Line-up

The Neville Staple Band leads a fantastic line up of over one thousand local and international performers.

Entertainment

The festival is expected to once again be split into four areas and there will be nearly 100 community stalls, fun for kids, Rocklands Stage, Flying Fox, Rolling Sound, Solar Cinema, Acoustic Arts Cafe, Dance for Life, Circus Workshops, Wicked Faerie, Bandstand, Cake and Ale Tavern, Young Mayor Presents, Youth Village, Get Active Arena, Sports Field, Colourscape, Flying Fox, International Food Stalls, Street Theatre, Extreme Bike Arena, Craft Market, Rocklands, Love Lewisham, Fancy Dress, Highjart, Community information and much more.

Getting there

There is no public parking at the event except for Blue Badge parking, which can be accessed via Stainton Road. Visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the event. There are bike park facilities, located by the George Lane park entrance.
