Nantwich Folk & Roots Festival 2004


This year, the weekend festival's celebration of Music and Dance, takes place over August Bank holiday weekend. Events take place at various venues including Nantwich Civic Hall, the Crown Hotel, and in the town square.

Playing on Friday are the Oysterband and Dulaman, on Saturday, Chumbawumba and Waking the Witch and on Sunday, Nick Harper and the Moobs.

Also, on Sunday at the White Horse Inn, there's to be the New Ribbed Comedy Club featuring Dave ingram as compere, Greg Cook (headlining), Dan Nightingale, John Cooper, Chris Brooker, Jeff Taylor and Die Clatterschenkenfietermaus.

Other confirmed acts performing over the weekend include: Boat Band; world fusion from Zagros; Abbos (from Uzbeckistan); a New Performers' Showcase; Jug o' Punch; Pete Johnson and David Parton; the Fairly Famous Family; David Sanders; Sophie Nelson; Andy Boote; Flux; Headphonetest; Coffee Table Coasters; Georgia Seddon; Emma and the Professor; Mooi; Darren Poyzer; African singing; Tanzanian dancing; African drumming; instrumental workshops; kids stuff and loads more...
