The 16th Musicport takes place from Friday 16th until Sunday 18th October 2015, at Whitby Pavilion, in North Yorkshire.
The latest additions are Sunday headlining act Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band, Ngawang Lodup, Emily Portman Trio, Yussef Ahmed, and Frumptarn Guggenband.
Fanfara Tirana meets Transglobal Underground, Terry Hall, Tromboranga Salsa Orquesta, Duke Special, Najmar Akhtar, The Kora Band, The Hut People with Jess Morgan, Cajun Roosters, Ben Rogers, Paul Armfield, Emma and The Professor, Richard De Soussa, Will Mcnicol And Luke Selby, Keith James (songs of Nick Drake), Belinda O'Hooley & Heidi Tidow, Blue Rose Code, a Firm Of Poets, Ribbon Road, Världens Band, Afrikan Boy, Dub Colossus, Soweto Gospel Choir, The Demon Barbers XL, Frigg, Maalstroom, and Naomi Bedford & Paul Simmonds.
Musicport will also be hosting The Yorkshire Gig Guide Grassroots Awards on the Friday of the festival featuring several Yorkshire acts on the North Sea Stage.
Workshops comedy and film programmes are still to be confirmed.
Adult weekend tickets are priced at £99 (£95 concessions).
Indoor camping is available at Brunswick Centre. A new feature of this year’s festival is indoor camping, which at £25 per head for full weekend, gives a cost effective and festival-appropriate option that combats the weather. Enquiries & booking of this space limited facility 01947 603475
With over 50 acts in one indoor venue over 5 stages the music comes from acts from around the world. The festival also includes live art projections in the DJ cafe, free fringe events at The Metropole Hotel, films, workshops, a festival bazaar as well as themed food and real ale street events, school and community workshops.
