The dates for 2008 are confirmed as Friday, 17th - Sunday, 19th October, plus a new venue: the newly refurbished Bridlington Spa Theatre and Royal Hall, on Bridlington's sea front, which boasts an Edwardian theatre and art deco style 1930's ballroom.

The festival features world music, and the organisers expect to retain the intimate atmosphere despite using a larger venue.

Acts already booked include: Ivo Papasov & His Wedding Band, The Levellers, Rolf Harris, Ska Cubano, and Toumani Diabate headlining with Moussu T E Lei Jovents, Billy Cobham and Asere, The Warsaw Village Band, Reem Kelani, Martin Simpson, Maalstroom, Kathakali Theatre Company, Mor Kabasi, Robert Maseko, Carmen Souza, The Young Coppers, The Outernationalists, The Hut People, Mambo Jambo, The Lani Singers, and Skavolution. Early bird tickets have now ended. Tickets are available to buy now at full price, priced as follows: full weekend adult £89.50; full weekend young person 11-18yrs £45; Children from 0-10 years old inclusive are Free; Friday night ticket including The Levellers £27.50. The festival also has workshops for adults including Palestinian singing, Indian classical music appreciation, African dance, Salsa dance, African drumming, and Didgeridoo. There is a downstairs bar that can be used for drumming sessions at various points throughout the weekend with Mokolo Sawane from Drumcall and others.

Film Programme includes Wijdan, Nahro Zagros' film & talk about Armenia's Yezidis, The Laya Project, Bamako, Anti Slavery present Hell on Earth, We are Together, A Latin Soul, Sahar, Liberacion, Travelling for a Living presented by Norma & Mike Waterson, Tangos Amongst Friends, Under Review Nick Drake, Guka, At Five In The Afternoon, La Vie en Rose.

There is also a Children's Festival with Pete White's Suitcase Circus, Roop Singh, Richard Coatam, Mighty Zulu Nation, Simba Arts & InterActive.

Local brewery Wold Top will be supplying their Wold Top Ale and a dark beer 'Musicporter'.
