Lechlade Festival 2011


The Lechlade Festival aims to provide the local and surrounding communities with a family oriented music event supporting local and regional talent and businesses and to promote tourism to the town. The two day event takes place on the banks of the Thames at Riverside Park, Lechlade, in Gloucestershire on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May 2011.

Line-up

The Big Brunch Band, Billy In The Low Ground, The Blackwaters, Chalice, Charlie Baxter, Corryvreckan, The Costellos, The Debuts, Drew Bryant, Galleries, Gaz Brookfield, Los Juantas, Mundo Pequeno, Not Rocket Science, The Off Chance, Pignose, Same Old Faces, Tasha Styles, Slagerij, Zophia, Kingslake, Keegan & Gower, with more still to be announced.

Tickets

A weekend ticket is priced at £12, day tickets are priced at £8, children under 12 free, tickets are not yet on sale.

Lechlade is situated on the Thames approximately 13 miles east of Cirencester, 12 miles north of Swindon and 25 miles west of Oxford.

The festival includes a beer festival offering a range of ales, with guest beers from other local breweries sitting alongside the Halfpenny Brewery's own CAMRA award winning ales and the new ales introduced by the Old Forge.

There's plenty of family fun available with activities for kids including Bungee Trampolines, Inflatable Circus Slide, Helter Skelter, Mini Roundabout Ride, Fairground Games, traditional candy floss, and more.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping, however just across the road from the festival site is the Bridge House Campsite with facilities for 85 Tourers, Motorhomes and Tents, 35 Hookups, Showers, Toilets, Chemical Disposal Point, Dish-washing, Disabled Facilities, Laundrette, Pets Allowed. There are also a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
