The fourth annual family friendly Lechlade Festival takes place on the banks of the Thames at Riverside Park, Lechlade, in Gloucestershire over three days this year from the afternoon of Friday 23rd until Sunday 25th May 2014.

Line-up

Toyah, The Blow Monkeys and Dr and the Medics will headline the main stag.

Moonrakers, Lorraine Lionheart, Musikissmo, Slydigs, Nikki Petherick, Some Velvet Morning, Dubvocaliza, Deco Pilot, Narrow Plains, Josephine & The Artizans, Alex Rainsford, Preacher, C U Tuesday, Military Wives Choir (Defence Academy), Benji Clements, The Vooz, Frankenstein’s Lobster, Charlie Baxter, Mad Psy, and Henry Bateman, are the first acts confirmed.

This year also sees a Dance Tent added, the Green Welly Tent's line-up includes Drift, Skywalker, Deluxe, Jow, Abo, Spam, Phil the Bass, and local DJs Bob and Coxy.

In addition, there will be a Burlesque Revue, Camping, Real Ales, Ciders & Food, appearances from Children's authors, Storytelling, Glamping, 'Have a Go' Crafts, Poetry and a mini Food Village.

Over 80 bands and performers will bring quality live music to the event, along with free family workshops and Break Pirates are to host new Dance Tent. 

Burlesque Revue

The Missy Malone & Friends Burlesque Revue makes a return and includes comedian and compere Desmond O’Connor, Cherry Shakewell, and Vicky Butterfly, with more acts to be announced soon.

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £77 for 3 days with camping. Live in vehicle pass is priced at £25. Day Tickets  are priced at £22 for Friday, and £32 for Saturday or Sunday. Family tickets, and concession prices are available for  Students 17+; Seniors 60+; Registered Blue Badge holders & carers.  ID required at Box Office.

Children aged 16 years and under can attend free. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult bearing a valid ticket. 

Audition gigs

Lechlade Music Festival announced dates for Audition gigs to be held over the autumn and winter. Bands and performers could apply to play at the audition gigs. Young talent is important to the festival organisers; a long term aim is to raise funds for a local young person to benefit from music education.

Workshops

A diverse range of workshops for both adults and children offer activities such as story-telling, dancing, singing and drumming classes in the Green Welly Tent. New this year are Soundsketch who will be running a STOMP workshop, making groovy rhythms with household objects as well as ‘Hands on the Harp’ run by world famous Clive Morley Harps who will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about playing the harp.

Organisers of Lechlade Festival have announced that they will be supporting national charity Epilepsy Society this year.

Lechlade is situated on the Thames approximately 13 miles east of Cirencester, 12 miles north of Swindon and 25 miles west of Oxford.

This family music festival will feature more workshops, increased camping, a food village, funfair, real ales, stalls, and more. Children 12 and under go free.

Wychwood Brewery’s legendary Hobgoblin ale will be the star of the show, with the bar stage and beer tent re-named ‘The Hobgoblin’.  

The campsite is located within the Festival site and adjacent to the Festival Arena.
