Hairth o' Knokrach 2004

Galloway's festivals may not have been heard of south of the border but they've been running twice-yearly celtic/roots/world music festivals in the hills of Scotland's Southern Uplands since 1998.

Hairth o' Knokrach is a popluar event held by the banks of the River Ae in upper Annandale on Craigshiels meadow, near the Forrest of Ae.

This year's line-up is as follows: Salsa Celtica; Shooglenifty; Le Cod Afrique; Kangeroo Moon; Fraser Fifield Trio; Tarantism; Weird Attractors; Cantara; Beneche; Moishe's Bagel; Nafee Mohammed; Orchestre del Sol; Frogpocket; Mei Li; Charan; Pradharan; The Ruffness acoustic; Martyn Wheeler; Inge Willemsen; Alan Whittaker; Earldom of Galweg; Tepooka; and Lizzy Longbottom.

Plus DJ's Harri (bhangra), Matchu P, Cheex, Mungo's Hi Fi System (reggae), Shieling Tent/Second Stage, open mike and acoustic sessions, Bollywood and Bellydance, Viking re-enactment, stalls, food, and a bar with real Scottish ales.

There will be also fire shows, wind and solar powered cinema, sauna and hot showers, a healing yurt; kids activities, workshops and spontaneous music throughout the weekend as well as live music and late night DJs.

Weekend tickets include camping.
